Ugh I hate people like this but yes, the policeman could have handled it better.
People that know the law, their rights, and how to deal with police and get out of tickets? Yeah, fuck them.
I have a PhD in Douchebaggery, I aint paying no fine :downs:
I have a PhD in Douchebaggery, I aint paying no fine :downs:
what's up with people in this thread who feel obliged to take it up the ass from a police man without question if they are ordered to questioning authority doesn't make you a douchebag or anything of the sort
what's up with people in this thread who feel obliged to take it up the ass from a police man without question if they are ordered to questioning authority doesn't make you a douchebag or anything of the sort
right but being a bell-end to a guy who's just doing his job and giving you a ticket doesn't mean protesters won't get bashed over the head by policemen it's not questioning authority, it's just making it difficult for someone. what exactly does it accomplish?
Guy in the video is mostly lucky. I know this would be a lot harder to pull of in the US.
It's actually not. The camera guy did seem awful aggressive, but he was doing the right thing. For instance, in the US if you get pulled over, you should never say anything, and if the police officer asks you to step out of your vehicle you should always lock it and close the windows, and not let him into the vehicle even if you aren't hiding anything. It's not a matter of trying to be an asshole and make a fool out of a cop, but if the cop isn't doing their job properly and can't answer your questions that he's legally obligated to answer then there's no reason to fall for their intimidation tactics.
i know how to deal with a policeman.... ....just comply with everything he says.
lol, how is anyone siding with the cop? The police officer doesn't have any grounds to give him a ticket or arrest the cameraman and he's trying to trick him into allowing him to do it. Typical police bullshit.
Yeah and multiple people were killed and robbed because of this. Everything was cool, why would he have to give money to the government because he was riding on a bike through an intersection? Did they lose money? No, fuck that stupid shit.
Well it's a good thing you're posting on FP rather than out in the world then.
If I where the cop i would have called in a spike strip when he ran away, or just put him in handcuffs.
i know how to deal with a policeman.... ....just comply with everything he says.
Enjoy getting busted for something by letting a cop look in your car or something because you don't want to do the right thing. [editline]fuck da poleez[/editline] Police are just normal people like you and I, doing some paperwork and testing to become a cop doesn't turn them into supermen or something. Would you let somebody who you didn't know search through your stuff and then lock you in a box if they don't like what you own? No, which is why you need to exercise every right you have when it comes to the police. It's not being a jackass, it's you letting them know that you're not intimidated and that you see them as an equal, not a superior.
right but being a bell-end to a guy who's just doing his job and giving you a ticket doesn't mean protesters won't get bashed over the head by policemen
I'm talking in general, not about the guy in the OP's video who is being a prick about a simple ticket
What a dick.
Is a bobby what you Brits call a policeman?
Is a bobby what you Brits call a policeman?
Bobby used to be the policeman patrolling the streets But you don't really see them anymore, so bobby is kind of a general term for police
This man is a genius.
This man is an asshole. I hope he gets run over the next time by a fuckin truck. If you do something wrong, pay for it, like everybody else. Or just follow the rules like anybody else and don't be an asshole.

He was informed of the crime, and that he was being ticketed. He had no reason to do what he was doing. It's different if he was fishing around for information from you, but he wasn't. The guy is clearly in the wrong in this situation.
Bobby used to be the policeman patrolling the streets But you don't really see them anymore, so bobby is kind of a general term for police
Named after Robert Peel who created the Met police.
Before calling him an asshole, at least watch his other videos so you know what kind of a person he is. The other videos are in the link in the description. He seems like an okay person, and the guy (Du) is quite wise in his other videos (Solar Complexus Infects Us - Response to EOK BANNED police camera action) FP is always so eager to jump the gun. That cop was trying to just fill his quota of tickets he needs to make. [editline]8th April 2011[/editline] Thats like giving a person a ticket for jaywalking. Stupid. If he gets hit by a car, so be it.
Thats like giving a person a ticket for jaywalking. Stupid. If he gets hit by a car, so be it.
Yeah, rather than teach them a lesson... Let them kill themselves! I've never seen someone get a ticket for jaywalking, only a "Be careful, idiot" from cops, everyone in Philly jaywalks though, if there's no cars, why wait- though we actually look before we cross.
If I was in this situation I would reply with the same logic that "Can you name the law that requires me to quote the law in the manner you're requesting?". Of course you don't need to know the law to the word regardless of where you are, the camera holder is a jerk.
i couldn't be that guy. saying "are you obliged" over and over sounds boring. i have never had a run in with a police officer. there isn't a lot in my little surf city. Thinking back, i have only talked to a cop about 4 times.
he could have just rode away in the beginning as far as I can tell lol why waste the guy's time
Fucking typical pig.
Fucking typical pig.
He didn't do anything wrong though
He didn't do anything wrong though
Yeah grab the camera when you can't think of the specific law. Not a thing.
Yeah grab the camera when you can't think of the specific law. Not a thing.
Doubt he broke any laws. Depends on strict the definition of "assault" is. The biker clearly broke the law though
Doubt he broke any laws. Depends on strict the definition of "assault" is. The biker clearly broke the law though
The biker did nothing, the cop claimed he did than attempted to destroy any evidence to the contrary. Fucking pig.
