The biker most likely went through a red light as the cop explained. How can he destroy evidence...

Taking the camera and smashing the tape?
Uh, no. Do you realize how big of a scandal it is when the media gets a hold on "police man is hypocrite, disobeys law" stories? Every police department does the best it can to make sure its officers don't go gung ho and get their internal affairs department and the media staring them down.
[editline]8th April 2011[/editline]
Also, in certain cases, citizens can arrest someone. I think it's when you see someone committing a felony.
uh, yes. i dont think you realize the difference between the "scandal" that now and then happens on the media and the amount of police abuse there is actually out there.
in addition anyone who knows anything about social science knows police are not a solution to a problem.
Taking the camera and smashing the tape?
Yes, it was so obvious he was going to do that.
I have no idea why anyone is trying to defend the biker when he was clearly the one in the wrong.

Police are the only possible answer to law enforcement.

I'm not in any way defending the biker, I just stated how the officer could have smashed the camera / confiscated it / deleted whatever he had on the tape.

I should've put it above the quote, it wasn't directed at you, rather a general comment.
no he's a great hilarious chap, but he's also a dick
or maybe just english
hes a psuedo-intellectual prick

If a guy was holding a camera filming you while being a total smartass and a douche I think you would be pissed too. From a professonal view point yea he shouldnt have but I cant really blame him for getting angry.
he = :smug:
the policeman was in the wrong, the biker was actually following the law (seeing as we've got no evidence of him skipping the light)
That little cuntfuck went through a red light. Just beat him a bit.
the policeman was in the wrong, the biker was actually following the law (seeing as we've got no evidence of him skipping the light)
then i guess murders didn't kill because we've got no video evidence of him killing that person
things like red lights are classed as a relatively minor crime, even though they shouldn't be, and the word of a policeman is enough to merit a ticket.
This is pretty damn hilarious
then i guess murders didn't kill because we've got no video evidence of him killing that person
That's one of the most retarded things i've read on this forum. They aren't a murderer till we find evidence that they did it. From what we saw the policeman had no evidence he ran the light, so i'm not gonna accuse the guy of being in the wrong.
You're just saying guilty until proven innocent.
I didn't even know they still had police officers in England. Isn't it all cameras now?

He never denied that he ran the light, but he said he didn't recall running the light. Also, the only evidence a policeman really needs is witnessing it happen, as running a red light just gets you a citation.
In the United States.. You can be arrested for not having your I.D..
I don't have my ID on hand. Come at me cops! :v:
No but seriously you are ignorant.
That's one of the most retarded things i've read on this forum. They aren't a murderer till we find evidence that they did it.
I think he meant to say something along the lines of "If a cop witnessed a murder, that should be enough, the same for any crime." A dumb argument like "Since we didn't get the guy on tape stabbing someone he obviously didn't do it and the cop's word is null." doesn't defend the murderer.
he = :smug:

Sure, because cops need evidence on tape before they can write out a ticket for doing something against the law
It' not because it isn't on the tape, that he didn't do anything wrong
This wouldn't happen where I live. Its even illegal to videotape a cop.
Police here in Los Angeles unfortunately wont put up with this. Hilarious. :v:
my dad got pulled over for speeding the other day
cop took his license and came back and said "you were clocked going 42 in a 25, but the reason we're out here is because we've been having complaints of excessive speeding upwards of 55-60 miles per hour. i know right around the bend where you were coming from is a 45 zone, so i'm not really worried about you. have a nice day"
cops are awesome, it's the shit ones that give them a bad rep.
fuck that guy on the bike with the camera

[editline]10th April 2011[/editline]
i'm going to assume that he did something wrong. not all cops are douchebags, and he did not come across as one.
me and my mates got pulled over for speeding, the lady cop came over to our window and asked you know how fast you were going in this 50 k zone. My mate said yes and also said can i have a blow job. we got left off with a warning
I though a bike is classified as a vehicle
I though a bike is classified as a vehicle
generally yes
Can't that cop lose his job for assaulting him?

Where do you live?
Can't that cop lose his job for assaulting him?
not sure that would count as assault. but running from a cop would be a felony or indictable offence.
Elitist faggot who thinks he can outsmart the police, he got away with it because it wasn't a smart police officer, if he got a smart one he would have hit the pavement within 10 seconds.

Police Brutality is smart now?
Why do people always have to be such douchebags when the cyclist broke the law by going through a red light. The policeman is just doing his damned job, he's not doing this to ruin your day. If the policeman sees someone breaking the law he has to step up to it, that's what he gets paid for.
Not to mention it's incredibly annoying as a car driver to stop because a cyclist drives through a red light, if I see a policeman fine that cyclist, it makes me feel good justice is served. So please stop with the fight the law shit.
