Downloaded this about an hour ago and it's really good actually.
There's a bomb character (Literally named Bomb King) that has a similar bomb jump skill and a similar ultimate, but uses remote sticky bombs instead of a normal grenade launcher and a giant stun bomb instead of a bear trap.
okey cool! i'll test this!
Then maybe they should come up with something original instead of "hook combo character #200", or like I said before, just come up with something that isn't another hook / anchor????
Then you should be telling Overwatch to be original as well? Because none of the character designs in Overwatch are original either.
As much as I love Overwatch (believe me, I do), calling something a ripoff with no base is the stupidest thing I've ever heard, especially when Overwatch "ripped off" ideas from other games as well.
Overwatch, Battleborn, and Paladins took ideas from already existing shooters. If people are using the term "rip off" for shit, Overwatch did the same thing, they're no better.

That's not Pip is it, because he cannot have changed that much in just a few months.

Bomb King is a new character. Biggest changes Pip got are that his sticky adhesive skill (His Explosive Flask now does less damage but slows now) got replaced by a healing grenade (Which he got before Ana if anyone was going to say anything) and has an ult now where he shoots a potion out that turns people in an aoe into chickens.
He's more of a CC support (with a decent heal) now instead of a primary damage dealer like he was before.
Didn't Paladins get like completely redesigned a few months ago to have a stupidly low TTK and added ults?

They originally wanted to have a higher TTK and ults, but after OW got announced, they tried a lot of things to differentiate itself from OW (Very large maps, leveling, no ults, and a much higher TTK). After a lot of feedback in the closed beta, they made big changes (Maps are a bit smaller, no more leveling, ults, and the TTK is now in between old Paladins and OW) which are actually more in line to their original ideas for the game.
They also reworked the main game mode: Before, it involved both teams trying capturing a point on the map to spawn a tank that would attack the enemy base. The overall goal of the mode was to travel with the tank to destroy the walls that guard the enemy vault (2 walls, 1 vault). Tank is destroyed if the defending team damages it enough or if one of the walls was destroyed. The winning team was whoever destroyed the enemy vault first.
Now: The game mode still has the basic idea of both teams trying to capture a point, but now instead of an automatic tank, you spawn a payload that you have to push to the enemy base. The win conditions are now changed to whoever score "4 points". Points are earned three ways: Capturing a point, successfully pushing the payload to the enemy base, and stopping a payload from being pushed. You cannot win a game by stopping a push, though.
I personally like the new mode more, because of the smaller maps and less shooting at an easy to destroy wall.

Yeah I tried it out and had about the same reaction as Cr1tikal. Sucks when you realize you're gonna get your ass kicked once you play with actual people. The game itself seems decent aside from that bullshit though.

Yeah I remember Pip being like that when I played, he's the character nobody is mentioning in all this because his design in both looks and play are nothing like anyone in Overwatch, even his grenade launcher doesn't function the same as Junkrat's.

Just because "there's only so many ways you can animate a hook" doesn't excuse the fact that they outright copied another game when they could have done so many different things in the concept stage.
I can't think of anything in battleborn that is so blatant as this game, even the supposed zenyatta "clone" that was mentioned before looks different in every way, animations included, even if her attacks are p much the same.
I feel like this claim could be leveled at Overwatch as well since they didn't come up with the archetype either.
But Overwatch is s success so obviously they're original about it.
