That cannot be substantiated--YouTube and Google have their own very stringent policies about what classifies as a 'real' view and what doesn't.
People have been known to completely game the system and amass millions of views to get initial popularity.
Given the fact that so many people simply haven't heard of him when he has such a large number of views would also suggest this.

As much as I don't like him, I don't blame him for continuing to do it. It's a business in many forms. People keep watching, why not expand on what people are coming for.
And don't think of it as him being paid to scream. He's being paid for hits on his video per contract, he gets hits by his antics.
