abortions
This looks like it has a massive amount of content

That blue thing is definitely a dildo
The Sims 4 is so much better than the other games, game-wise, but there's a big ass con to that:
It has very little content, still, by comparison, and it will cost you a kidney to get it all once it's all out. I feel bad for Sims fans that have bought a lot of the expansions for Sims 2 and then Sims 3 and are now doing it for Sims 4. Hopefully by expansion 18 some of the "technical limitations" will have been done away with, like one lot worlds, limited designs. And I'm still not sure I like how it's all about the emotions. I rather it be all about the accomplishments and progression of the character, rather than how they currently feel. I don't care how AI feels, because it doesn't actually feel shit. But I kind of care that I was able to accomplish this or that with him since it was more personal and I had a hand in it
But hey, at least they started with one of the best expansions that hit The Sims, Open For Business.

Pretty sure "All about the emotions" doesn't mean that emotions are now the goal, it's more that the game is now built around the emotion system, rather than having to look at a bunch of status bars the whole time like in the first three Sims games. All the accomplishment and progression stuff is still there, it's just that the biggest change in how the sims handle from the old games is the emotion system so they like to focus on that in the marketing.
I wonder if you can commit civil forfeiture to steal other sim's possessions to raise money for your department.
Tempted to get Sims 4 just for this. Open for Business and Ambitions were probably my favourite expansions for Sims 2 and 3.
I'm eagerly awaiting the kleptomaniac trait's return, because that's how I made money in the Sims 3, by stealing cars and selling them
Fuck getting a job
I really really hope they are doing the criminal track.
Pretty cool stuff, but it's not for me. What i enjoyed about the Sims was it's simple style, just being a living simulation was the fun part for me, and the creating of a home. I fondly remember the sims 1 for gamecube, some may disagree but thatll always be my favorite. I grew up with that version.

Can't see why you wouldn't like this one then.
I wonder if your sim can kill a suspect and develop crippling alcoholism to deal with the guilt.
No no no, it's The Sims. It's a crippling Juice addiction.
I hope they add the secret agent career to this so I can make the cast of Archer
it's already in the base game

He's saying he hopes it gets made into an active career.
judge dredd dlc when
That's why, despite not liking the new worlds system, I understood why they wen't in that direction.
They can add in as much shit as they want. I can easily move from location to location with ease.
And no more rabbit holes.
so is murder an option now?

I'd do it myself, but I can't do this all on my own. I'm no superman.
Last time I heard, everyone thought The Sims 4 was terrible. Was that all overreactions, or?

I thought that the base game was underdeveloped. In fact, one of the things I wanted most was an expanded workplace.
Problem solved!

I think it's fair to think they've been milking the hell out of this series, Sims 3 definitely did some things right that wern't brought over to the Sims 4, but on the other hand, this game isn't a mess that requires addons to solve it's issues (even then, some worlds just didn't work or kept freezing) and seems to be getting free updates that bring in features that a base game should have had, in the past this wouldn't have been the case.
And as nice as the open world was in the Sims 3, I'm not missing it, all the plots felt dead, so did the other streets and any interesting looking building was a rabbit hole. At least now they won't be able to do that anymore and actually have to make some quality content, like in the Sims 1 and 2.
Will start playing when we get pets or weather dc.
A few people had legit complaints sure, but most of it was just idiots that hate every EA game and Sims 4 happened to be the latest EA release.
Overall it's a pretty decent game, definitely better than Sims 3, it just lacks content like every other Sims base game, if EA keeps up these high-content expansions like Get to Work then the content issue will disappear quickly.
Doesn't it lack past features such as firefighters, burglaries, and police stopping burglaries?
Doesn't it lack past features such as firefighters, burglaries, and police stopping burglaries?
Sims can do all those things though. In Sims 3 I almost never called the fire department since your sim would just pull an extinguisher out their ass and do it themselves. It was the same with burglars. So long as your sim was stronger than the thief you could stop him yourself, plus the cops almost never arrived on time anyway. 9 times out of 10 the burglar was already off screen by the time the cops arrived in my experience.
That's why they removed them iirc. Yeah, it's more realistic to have them in but they were kinda redundant.
Whenever there's a fire usually my sims would put them out before the firefighter even entered the door a split second so I could see why they removed some npcs. Though it would be nice to have tho.
