How the fuck can you forget about reopening a theme park?
If you see the picture where it's flooded with water. Electrical, Structural damages. That place will never pass inspection without major repair to the point of just opening a new theme park.
Music reminds me of 28 days later
oh maaan, that looks like such an awesome place to explore. the East Hastings was a nice touch too
Music reminds me of 28 days later
28DL uses the same song, at the beginning when the guy's wandering around derelict London
Pripyat: 2010
"Saddle up boys, we a' going stalken!"
28DL uses the same song, at the beginning when the guy's wandering around derelict London
Well that explains :v:
Kind of upsetting.
Chernobyl is better.
Chernobyl is better.
eh, you can walk around, without worrying about radiation.
I live near New Orleans and have passed this up a few times on the road. Looks like an apocalypse occurred. It's saddening that I only went to it once, two years before Katrina.
That was amazing. I loved the ironic graffiti
Peach Cobbla!
Let it stew and ripen for a couple more years.
I remember this park. Sad to see it go.
You also have to consider, even if you did reopen the park, where is the market? How many people have the money and how many moved back to make a big theme park profitable day after day? Also, it's an infirmary, most amusement parks have them staffed with Doctors. You do have kids playing around all day, it's faster and safer for minor injuries to be brought to the park clinic then to have kids screaming while being carried out on stretchers through thick crowds of people to a ambulance waiting at the entrance causing a disruption to the rest of their customers. Most of the injuries they deal with are small though, cuts, scrapes, the occasional broken arm or leg, in which case they apply first-aid and stabilize them before bringing them to a local hospital
I don't know who decided on the soundtrack, but it wouldn't have been the same without Godspeed resonating in the background.
I wanna go now

Why the fuck would he take it down. :sigh:
So this is where Valve got their idea for one of the Left 4 Dead 2 maps.
Left 4 Dead 2 has you end up in New Orleans and this is in New Orleans so this could have actually been inspiration for the carnival level.
