I have an iPhone, and its fucked up as shit. the lock button is broken, it wont turn off, it can't get wifi, the case is cracked, and there's dust under the screen. All it can do is play angry birds, with lag. And before the wifi died, Google broke. It also dropped calls like a bitch.
And touchscreens hate me, so fuck both iPhone and Droid. I'm sticking with my free-with-package Verizon phone.

In what way is an iPhone a ripoff? I like my iPhone. These commercials are stupid as fuck but that's no reason to deny the fact that the iPhone is a excellent phone. Sure, there are cheaper alternatives, but that doesn't make the iPhone a ripoff.

I have had my iPhone since October and I haven't really found any apps outside of games that I actually benefit from. Outside of games, the most common apps I use are..
-Flashlight
-RBC Banking
-Calculator which takes me to a certain secret folder when entering a certain 8-digit code
-GPS for when I'm driving and I get lost
As far as I can tell, those apps aren't exclusive to an iPhone, so I don't think it warrants buying the phone just for those apps.
I still like my phone but I'm not that enthusiastic about it. I doubt everyone would have the phone if they knew that there wasn't anything that unique to it, but we all have to learn one way or another. :(
Although that specific advert is advertising the app store that's not all Iphone's are about.

But to say the iPhones suck is just retarded. They are great phones. Maybe not better then newer Samsung or HTC phones but still very easy to use and fast.

If you're referring to all the crap apps that end up on the market than yeah, it's true that there's a lot of crap. Although I've seen a fair share of crap apps on the app store as well, the Android market has the majority of them. I have however found a lot more gems on the Android market than I have in the app store. Possibly mainly because it doesn't cost $1000(was around that the last time I checked) to become a certified developer, which is required to upload apps to the app store.
You're also not required to to upload apps to the Android market to distribute them, it's possible to download and install apps from anywhere out of the box, whilst for iPhone you'd have to jailbreak it to do that. And Apple sure don't like it when people jailbreak their iDevices.
iPhone is a great device, cannot see what is wrong with it :colbert:
