Imagine if Colleen Clinkenbeard, the voice of Goten/GT Goku in more recent appearances, was tasked with voicing adult Goku. It'd be so unfitting.

She also plays Gohan and Goten, but with different tones to differentiate them.
It's mostly because I guess they figured the child-like voice best suits Goku's more innocent mindset.
