i don't think there's anything wrong with preferring your race over others
for relationships i agree, however taking it farther...
America what are you doing? Just because he's from a different culture doesn't mean he can't owe a bike. [editline]08:37AM[/editline]
well ok, i'll just take your tools then.
no it doesn't technically

"No it does'nt technically"
Lol
The black guy's clothes are much more suspicious than the white guy's
That doesn't justify it at all. You might as well be saying "The black guy's skin is much more suspicious than the white guy's" The whole point of this segment was seeing whether or not they were being judged on the way they looked, clothing and skin all the same. [editline]03:09PM[/editline]
I still don't think you can chalk this one up to race entirely, or even mostly He WAS wearing his clothes a lot more conspicuously, his replies were criminal right off the bat, and it was a shitload of different people in the park.
Again, you think his clothing was suspicious because you associate it with colored people, which is racist. To say clothing is suspicious is ignorant. Also the white guy replied with criminal remarks also, both men told the passers-by what was up.

Clothes is a lot, it shows who you are, to say it means NOTHING is the most ignorant thing I've ever heard. Clothes are a big part of personality
Even hairstyles, not commenting on the ones in the video but dreads or cornrows (both of which I've seen on white people) or completely and totally shaven are a giveaway when you're trying to cut through chains on a bike
I think there is a reason this stereotype exists, there was this one video experiment on youtube posted a while back, where they placed a camera in front of a police department or something and a wallet right on the floor of the sidewalk, they recorded the number of people who picked up the wallet and turned it in to the police station, and the number of people who picked it up and walked away with it, guess which majority of ethnicity tried to walk away with the wallet rather than turn it in? Gah no matter how much I search, I can't find it. It was so old.

What I find dissappointing is the "stereotypes are always wrong but whites are always racist" mentality a lot of people have.

Oh WIMP, how all of your videos somehow magically show up on facepunch, many of them duplicates.
They should have put the white guy side by side with the black guy and have them both stealing bikes at once, the true test.

If you were an alien and you had no knowledge of Earth or the people and Earth sent you pictures of individual people and wearing all sorts of clothing would you really think someone in baggy clothes and sagging pants is any more suspicious than he would be nice or comedic or melancholy? No, you have never seen this before. It is not programmed within our brains from birth to recognize drooping pants and think "Criminal!". We think those thoughts because of experience, assosiation. So to a mind where these styles are foreign they really could make no judgment based on looks.
Clothes is a lot, it shows who you are, to say it means NOTHING is the most ignorant thing I've ever heard. Clothes are a big part of personality
At the ages of those two men, which looked quite young, their clothing literally could have meant anything. At young ages people wear certain things to fit in with the people around them. So yeah clothing is nothing. I wear polos and blue jeans all the time, teachers at school (for example) would never suspect that I use incredible amount of profanities, get drunk, or smoke weed everyday. [editline]07:51PM[/editline]
and when does this have to do with race again
I lost myself. Fuck me sideways.
polos and blue jeans are one of the two entire outfits potheads wear at my school oh but that's just ignorant of me :downs:
You see, I lied. Only twice have I smoked weed, and those were years ago. So... :downs: to you also, my good sir.
You see, I lied. Only twice have I smoked weed, and those were years ago. So... :downs: to you also, my good sir.
how does that change the fact that most potheads at my school wear polos and blue jeans
how does that change the fact that most potheads at my school wear polos and blue jeans
I don't reckon I said it did.
I don't reckon I said it did.
so what was the point of your previous comment
This video left out the part where they had a girl "steal" the bike and guys actually stopped to help. Also can't help but laugh at the random guy at 1:53 with the squeaky-ass brakes.
so what was the point of your previous comment
That I am a liar.
That I am a liar.
I will take this into my big box of information that I would defend for my life as this is very useful and powerful information. Thank you for sharing this extremely world changing information.
I will take this into my big box of information that I would defend for my life as this is very useful and powerful information. Thank you for sharing this extremely world changing information.
I am 10 feet tall.
I wouldn't have done anything either way.
Also, tigers are more feminine than lions.
Fixed your typo.
I wouldn't have done anything either way.
Same here. I don't concern myself with anything to avoid confrontation and bad assumptions.
