I have to agree, it was too much.
I think all they really needed if they couldn't have access with regular police officers would be to get a good warrant for his arrest and possibly a small tast/special force but not a whole brigade of men/squads. Also, it was obvious that they did not need to harm him as he was unarmed; why would you need to punch, knee and step on someone who is unarmed? You got your man, don't harm him....

This is ridiculous, pretty much nobody in New Zealand thinks it was just.
Currently we have a complete right-wing, money-grabbing, ass licking government who obviously did exactly what the FBI said.
We haven't learnt how much the operation cost but it cost our tax payers to do this, on a USA arrest warrant.
As much as I think Kim is a complete ass hat, he didn't break the law IMO- megaupload and all those other file sharing sites work on the almost loop-hole that they are not responsible for what users upload to their servers, just as microsoft isn't responsible for what you do with their software.
We learnt through NZ tv (same show as in the video) that megaupload gave the majority of large companies (Warner Bros, Microsoft, Universal, Empire etc) direct access to delete files instantly which they feel are infringing on their copyrights; Not complaints, just direct ability to remove ANY file they please.
In New Zealand we normally take things pretty chill, police raids are not common nor are even guns. Something like this is very rare here and is normally reserved for some A class shit, not white collar crime; You wouldn't expect this for somebody committing tax fraud.
