whenever ESA does their stuff too
http://www.esamarathon.com/
I'll definitely check out NASA.
I just hope ESA will be better than last year's.
I liked pretty much all of the races. The Two Players One Controller Mario run earlier was fucking ace.
NASA? ESA? Are we going to space or something?
Silent Hill 4, Prime 2, Wind Waker HD, Awful Games, Basically every race, Ape Escape, Doom
I'm sure there is more. Was a good AGDQ.

That guy's videos have been recommended to me for a while now and the game is pretty great, especially as a speedgame, but I was a little worried about his personality tbh lol, dude gets so salty on stream its insane
Glad to hear it went smoothly from the sounds of things
Wolfquest one of the best speedruns

He plays he off as trying to be funny. It was cool he beat the WR a week before AGDQ
Silent Hill 4 was nice because I used to run that game a shitload and its cool to see everyone else see how fucking annoying that game is.
He got perfect RNG on the escalator but worst RNG on most other things.
As much as people rag on about RPG speedruns being boring as fuck, and they can get pretty dry, Final Fantasy 1 by Gyre and Feasel (plus Puwexil on the couch) on tuesday was the chillest run of the whole event. Anyone who can provide both entertaining and interesting commentary through just about the entirety of a 4 hour run gets an A in my book, and the grinding portions of the gameplay weren't too terribly long (I think ~15-20 minutes at worst?) Granted your milage will probably vary if you aren't interested in RPGs or game mechanics at all.
Why were the guys on the bench during the Super Metroid race so triggered about Waluigi?

Probably because people just kept WAAAAAHH'ing after it started, which probably irked the one that told them to go get run over enough to flip out. It was getting pretty repetitive, but the jackass could've been a lot more polite about it.
The guy who hosted AGDQ's Dark Souls 3 run with the sole purpose to mock and harass BubblesDelFuego(made fun of his disease) has been shut down by Twitch https://www.twitch.tv/miltent
gj
this guys is still up however https://www.twitch.tv/meczeoro

what a shit lol
He'll get what's coming to him if he does (or was doing) what Miltent did.

That was definitely one of the more interesting GDQ marathons. I just hope they hire a professional AV team for the next one. They really (really) need to book Power Up Audio.

I have a feeling we won't be seeing CFB at another event, which is totally fine, even if they do allow him to come back. At this point he's pretty much the laughingstock of the entire marathon.
Ori OREO run was 100 emoji.
The vice city run says 'No ACE' what is ACE?

I have watched the run, and to me it seems the audience was just being annoying and loud for pretty much the 50~ minutes it took for the beanie guy to run out of patience.

basically doing similar crazy shit like they did with tasbot.
Watching the MN9 run. Holy geeze the game is atrocious. Not only is it visually awful, the levels are designed terribly and almost all of them are just a straight line with a staricase design. . The characters also give tutorials at the wrong time constantly, and not even because he's going so fast.

Mighty No. 9 is like a ripoff fan project that somehow got professional voice actors and publishing, really. The stage design is bad, the boss fights are bad (including multiple one-hit-kill circumstances, Pyrosphere most infamously), the music is only remotely redeemable in retro mode as otherwise it's almost Sonic 4 levels of bland synth abuse, and even the animation and voice direction are bad. They missed what makes a Mega Man game fun while hoping Beck and the Mighty Numbers were 'memorable enough' to make their own continuity and franchise in the worst way possible.
The speedrun made it look fun to some people, but honestly, even if it's not a terrible game, it's so mediocre that I stopped at what's normally a marathon of a final boss (without cheesy tactics it is easily a longer fight than any Mega Man final boss hands down, regardless of which series) and uninstalled it from my PS4 without batting an eye when I needed space months later. It wasn't fun on the first playthrough, it wouldn't magically become fun again if I play it now in my opinion. Especially that fucking retarded 'crouch dash beneath the two instant death generators in the only time it's ever manually needed in the entire game' part.
Honestly that speedrun was the only time I even considered watching someone play it. The whole thing is just a complete disaster.
I... I had to stop watching. Every level outside of the highway was exactly the same, and even then, the highway one was just a time-gated version of the other stages.
Youtube recommended me a video of AGDQ 2013, and the it's there's so little people compared to what I saw this year, holy shit. I can understand now why the people behind the event do weird shit to keep it family friendly: it exploded.
