I don't understand why HD ports only is such a big deal, HD tvs and monitors have rapidly dropped in price, like, excessively so.
All aboard the Facepunch Xbox One hate train
Even though it's now less expensive than the PS4 (basic edition), and removed most of the major problems, it's still a piece of shit right?
This is like getting stabbed in the gut, with the stabber saying "this is for the best", and when the cops show up, he pulls the knife out and says "look all better!"
it was all a ploy to make people think they're listening by advertising a god awful product that nobody wants when in reality it's not so bad
honestly if you dont have an HDTV and you're buying a 500 dollar console what are you doing?
This is like getting stabbed in the gut, with the stabber saying "this is for the best", and when the cops show up, he pulls the knife out and says "look all better!"
Didn't know that having bleh features on your game console was on par with getting stabbed.
This isn't bad as the myriad of fascism analogies I've seen, though, I'll give you that.
power brick included in the box? oh boy I'm so excited
What the hell is an impulse trigger anyway? Kinda like the trigger on a gun?
Oh, did I say impulse triggers? Well that's our patent name for the vibrating-dildo-triggers! You might've thought that the "impulse" in "impulse triggers" implied the controller detects or in some way or another involves impulses. That's cute.
The oh-so-fantastic impulse triggers on the Xbox One controller deserves lots of praise, though. They add an entirely new depth of rumble to gaming. See, Microsoft's added individual motors that send vibrations directly into the triggers. Dependng on how light, or hard you press on the triggers, it'll provide different levels of vibrations. If you think feeling a vibration in your palm is nice, wait until you feel it on you fingers.
It's fucking innovation, it's what gaming needs.
I don't give a shit how much my controllers rumble. Just give me a console that doesn't overheat, can play kickin' rad games, and doesn't empty my bank account so I can play games online. Mouse and keyboards don't need some gimmicky rumble to them, why should controllers?
By the way he's going on about it, the HDMI cable seems to be the biggest feature.
sure it does

compare it to matte black for example
Matte is a type of paint, liquid is a state of matter, nether makes this nazi vcr look any better.

If you don't even have an HDTV, I'm amazed you're even concerned with a nextgen console. I really don't mean that as a bad thing, just look to getting a solid modern screen before moving onto a next gen console. You can get really good TV's for reasonable prices now. Even large 1080p ones for seemingly nothing.
I WILL however say I'm sad they don't have an option for component. One thing to not have HDMI on a TV or maybe they are used up but Component can still push quality 720p/1080i just fine.

Which is stupid since a HDMI 1.4 cable is like nothing, a few dollars.
What the hell is an impulse trigger anyway? Kinda like the trigger on a gun?
there are little vibration motors inside the triggers that make just the trigger part of the controller vibrate when you shoot your gun in call of duty 684.
people at E3 say it feels nice

It's probably gold plated so you don't get any lag in cod10 when playing mlg, and higher high definition.
You can also buy a plug and play kit so you don't have to replace batteries in your xbox one controller. This is new premium technology every gamer needs to buy.
...
It's bit of a dick move by Microsoft to make the plug and play kit an accessory rather than part of the controller. It was understandable with xbox 360 where it's possible they made this after the console, but when they already got this lying around they still decide to exlude it.

If you can't afford an HDTV nowadays, you most definitely cannot afford the Xbone or the PS4. I mean, come on. You can get one for ~100€ here.
I don't really like touch sensitive buttons, one of my desktop monitors is touch sensitive and after a few years it's crapped out so whenever I have to press the button I'm just sitting there tabbing my thumb on the monitor until it activates.
Am I the only one that like power bricks for consoles? I have a power surge that killed the brick, and if it was in the console, I would be fucked.
"Here it is folks, the moment you've been waiting for!"
The PS4 has been released!?
The powerbrick feels so damn primitive. Feels like they really could've done something to get it inside the console. Or at least make it smaller.
Touch sensitive power button. Revolutionary.
I hated that shit on the later versions of the console. I swear--I walk by that thing, my hand so much as fucking brushes it, my 360 would shut off without warning.
Revolutionary piece of engineering alright.
I mean, after realizing that the public recognizes the system as a piece of shit, why release a detailed video confirming their predictions, and showcasing the piece of shit?
You know guys, there are worse things in the world than Xbox One.
You know guys, there are worse things in the world than Xbox One.
Fuck off, this is man's talk. Go worry about world hunger or some other childish thing in some shit thread.
so basically they made the power button the same type of switch like the launch day ps3 had? hmmm i wonder if there's a reason sony might have stopped using touch-sensitive power switches with the next revision of the console...

Probably because that made it cheaper to manufacture? The same reason the latest PS3 model has a top loading drive. Even the PS3 slim went through multiple different revisions where they took stuff out, like the lights inside the power and eject buttons.

I still have a day one 360 and it works perfect except for two fatal flaws. One, the damn thing turns on in the middle of the night when I'm sleeping so I keep the demon spawn unplugged the majority of the time. Two, it heats up my room to 90 degrees when I play for more than an hour.

Mine has the major flaw of sounding like a fucking airplane taking off when I play it
I'm just completely uninterested with the Xbone, despite them fixing most of the flaws I had, its still not very exciting, there are no exclusives I want and the features it has the PS4 does better and cheaper
Now that Halo is in the gutter why would ANYBODY want it

My 360 got the red ring, so I had it fixed which took about 1 week. Then it red ringed again and I got a new xbox. The new xbox sounds really fucking loud for some reason and I can pretty much use it as a radiator. I also lost all the Xbox arcade games that my brother had on his account.

It doesn't warrant the R&D and extra wasted space just so a small demographic can play on a SD tv.
Wow, like, I know non-HD TV's are basically extinct at this time but some people like me and my in-debt father can't afford an HD TV. If it's true this applies to the PS4 as well then that's a bit of a low blow on those less economically situated.
Why are you buying a PS4 if you can't afford a fucking HDTV.
Wasn't the console unplugged? How'd he power it on lmfao
people think that it was the touch sensitive power button that was cool, but it was actually wireless power!
