The song in the trailer, is this another Nazi-fied real song, or an original? I don't recognize it.
Here's the original by Huddie Ledbetter, one of the fathers of modern jazz

Funny enough, Ol' Leadbelly also wrote a song about Hitler.
What a fucking fantastic way to end a trailer.
I'm not even disappointed about finding out about this before release. It just made me even more hyped for the game.
There was slow mo in there, can I get some old fashioned cheat codes like unlimited ammo, invincibility, big heads, and slow mo please?
Anyone else find it strange that the Nazis are wearing Israeli civilian gas masks?
No, because it's a trailer. Same could be said about the slow motion, but I want it.

Might have been an artistic choice. There are unlocks for collecting unlockables. Only thing I know of is that getting all the Enigma Codes gives you the option to play Ironman Mode, meaning if you die it is game over. It was mentioned in a Machinima Stream.
As someone who had little-to-no interest in the Wolfenstein series up to now, this looks insanely awesome.
I havent played any other Wolfensteins, except 3D when I was like 6. I pre-ordered this just based on it looking awesome, but it makes me want to play the other Wolfensteins now so it's working it's magic well.
Goddamnit, I can only get one game this month and I thought it was going to be Dark Souls 2, but now I'm not sure...
I'd still go with dark souls 2, no matter how good this game is as a multiplayer RPG dark souls will last you longer if you're strapped for cash. The game'll still be just as fun in a month or so I'm sure
Can someone provide a translation of the german version of the song? Its very good
Anyone here that would love a game like Wolfenstein but instead of fighting the Nazi's you play as a soldier invading the west?
Like I would find that very intresting to do. And like playing a BAD BAD guy and not like good bad guy/only does what he is told. Almost no game gives you that option.
The trailer hasn't sold me yet so I'll probably pick it up during a sale.

You can't make a game where your main objective is to kill thousands of innocent people and take over the world, that just wouldn't work at all in any way.

Total War's Russian Campaign?

that would be so much more interesting than killing nazis for the thousandth time.
that would be so much more interesting than killing nazis for the thousandth time.
There hasn't been a big Nazi killing shooter in years though, the most recent ones are Red Orchestra 2, which is a very serious game, and CoD World at War, which was mostly against the Japanese.
You can never kill enough Nazis.
Best game trailer i've ever seen. I didn't actually give a fuck about this game but they immersed themselves so far i can feel it.

I don't know German well but it just sounds like a translation of the song "House of the Rising Sun"
bj holds his face directly between his guns, squeezing his cheeks together as he shoots
Originally his head was round.

Except it's likely not about New Orleans.

I might be hearing what I want to hear after listening to the original
Don't have to speak German to hear the "Berlin".

And now thats all I can hear.

House of the Rising Sun by The Animals
House of the Rising Sun by The Animals
The Lyrics are not the same.
The Lyrics are not the same.
It's a song made specifically for the game. "Wílbert Eckart und seine Volksmusík Stars - House of the Rising Sun"
"There is a house in New Berlin,
they call it house Abendrot*.
It has been the ruin of many good boys,
and god, I know I'm one (*)"
*Abendrot basically means "red sunset/afterglow" and is the name of the brothel, hence house Abendrot.
*The literal translation would be "...and mine, my god I was suffering", where "not leiden" is harder to translate due to it being sort of an idiom. "To suffer" comes close, though.
"If I'd have listened to my Commander,
today I'd be at home
I was young and stupid, a poor boy
lead astray (und gemein?*)"
*The "und gemein" part doesn't make sense and doesn't form a full sentence. Gemein can either be translated as mean/vile or as crude/common. There is no clear indication on what is meant though, due to the sentence not being complete.
"Tell my little sister
that she shouldn't follow me
Should stay clear of the house in New Berlin
which they call the Abendrot
My mother was a tailor,
she sold this uniform
My love 's a drunkard,
my god she drinks in New Berlin
I'm going back to New Berlin,
driven by my own woes
The rest of my days I'll stay
right there in house Abendrot"
I think neo-Nazis stole some Soviet pseudoscience and because it's a Wolfenstein game, it actually works.
If this is true then I hope the neo-Nazis are not German but from another nation like Afrikaner nationalists or something.

What? They aren't neo-Nazis, the scenario is that they simply won the war and took it all the way to the US.
I'd laugh if they had stashed somewhere in the map a diagram of that robot dog that was actually a thing in real life.
Oh it was soviet? Well that fits in nice.

It isn't really pseudoscience if it actually works

I really hope this game does well.
I just can't see it making back the investment with the extended efigs localization, the huge ad campaign, and the additional work going into voluntary market censorship.

The poor dogs that died to these pseudoexperiments...
I've read a book from the 60's, among other things they mentioned soviet experiments about sewing dog's heads to beheaded other dog's bodies. Apparently the head could survive a couple days like this, albeit unable to move and probably in horrible pains. They also had working life support machines like the one shown in the diagram above that pumped blood into the head.
Like jesus christ what kind of horrible person do you have to be to do these experiments and sleep well at night/not outright shoot yourself.

These are not Neo-Nazis, these are Nazi-Nazis. They won WW2.
