Why is there a fan in the cockpit when he's wearing a spacesuit :I
Maybe one day they'll get the game to work properly rather then spend their time on models and commercials
I see this complaint on every game, both in development and after release (plz fix!!!!) and it's hard to really dumb it down any more so you can understand this
people who animate and make things look pretty
do not deal with programming and debugging
complaining about a game putting out PR material with some extra advertising money is absolutely stupid unless it's being developed by a single person who is physically incapable of multitasking

Have you ever looked at something and just had a bad feeling? SC fills me with a sort of dread, and not for really any reason in particular but it's just this ambitious, gargantuan project, so massive in scope and aim, loaded down with the expectations of a large number of people. It just feels like it could be one of those things that just fails spectacularly.
Of course this is all apropos of nothing, I really hope RSI blow this thing out of the water - the enthusiasm of it's supports is refreshing. But I don't know, it seems like the margin of error for SC is so small that it's success rests on pleasing the equally huge expectations of those people backing it. If it isn't perfect, it's terrible.

you know in the first day of such a huge game, because of how many people are playing it simultaneously, it will see more combined playtime than it ever saw development and testing. We'll hear about a LOT of bugs and people will tout it as some gargantuan failure because they want it to fail. It's such a hot topic that being the site that 'breaks' any sort of negative news toward it would drive an OBSCENE amount of ad revenue
that's the great thing about modern gaming though, is that beta testing can do a huge portion of that raw search-and-destroy if it's done right, and games can receive patches, even hard copies on consoles

The big problem is that this isn't some game people got duped into paying 60 bucks for, this isn't BF4 or whatever, many people dropped triple or even quadruple digits on this game.
So if its so much as one percent below 99% on release date people will be extremely angry and the drama will explode like a dirty bomb.
Well honestly that's their fuckin fault for dropping so much on what essentially amounts to an investment in the company.
My main problem with SC is the fanboyism, attack or criticize the game just a bit and you anger the seething horde
I feel like that if this was any other game the devs would get lynched for selling 100+ dollar ships before the game even had a proper alpha.
I haven't purchased any of the founder packs yet but I'll look into it once this game gets further into development and it's just promises and pretty trailers.
But with this and Elite on the way it's looking to be a good few years for space games.

I can't really blame them. Having messed with cryengine 3, the character/vehicle tools are absolutely painful to work with, especially with no documentation.
