Dope
Looks like Emperor Scorpious II's new avatar. Also surprises me to know that he's in his 50s
Actually Sony isn't that heavy handed so i've heard, they're quite good letting they're studios have creative freedom, i'm genuinely excited for this, so excited i sent off a job application on the Kojima Productions site :D.
kojima reminds me of anno with that scruff
The new logo reminds me a bit of dark souls for some reason

Look at their latest game, Dreams. What even is it? :v:

I see a lot of people passing around misinformation, his studio is NOT a Sony studio, he's independent, only his first game will be PS4 exclusive with Sony. It’s not a Sony studio; it’s an independent team, which will be known as...Kojima Productions. The deal announces that Kojima Productions’ “first software title [is] a console exclusive to the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system.”
P.T revival when?

He looks like an old wise japanese man straight out of a movie !! I won't be able to buy a ps4 for a long long time but I don't care after all the shit the man has been through I am just happy for him!
Still won't be buying any Kojima games. I found TPP incredibly boring and overrated
Still won't be buying any Kojima games. I found TPP incredibly boring and overrated
So just because you didn't like 1 game a guy made out of like a lot that means you're never buying a game made by him again?
Konami dun fucked up.
Why do people say this Dude was fucking expensive to publish games for. Back in the day they needed that because his games also made money. But Konami makes way *way* more money doing what they do now with 5X less money required to invest and 5X less risk. Speaking purely on business terms, Konami would have fucked up keeping his contract alive. I mean let's be real too. Kojima has been wanting to break from metal gear for 10+ years now, but due to the nature of his games could only get Konami to fund his projects if they were metal gear games. It would have been simply impossible for any of us to see the kinds of projects Kojima really wanted to work on if he stayed at Konami. This is the best thing that could have happened for everyone. Konami gets rid of their most expensive, least profitable asset, Kojima finally gets to branch out of Metal Gear, we are gonna get to see what kinds of stuff Kojima can do outside of Metal Gear. Possibly this might be the thing that sparks Japanese indie game development in a big way much like it has in the west, which would be great. I think the only thing Konami fucked up on was the embarrassingly childish way they let him go. Generally speaking, you shouldn't burn bridges.
Still won't be buying any Kojima games. I found TPP incredibly boring and overrated
Well I'm gonna wait and see how his new game is through reviews like a rational person. You can stick to pointless spite if you want.
Is it just me or does anyone else find it a little weird watching a white guy speak such fluent Japanese. I suppose its just something you don't see to often so its odd. Either way, can't wait to see what awesome things come out of that partnership. RIP Konami
I can't wait to see what Kojima has in store now. He's finally the boss. I believe i read somewhere specifically that Kojima games will be viable for PC release. All hail Kojima productions. Fuck konami. That is all.

Kojimas first independent game will be a new IP? Colour me fucken interested!
Still won't be buying any Kojima games. I found TPP incredibly boring and overrated
On the contrary you should buy Kojima games for not being Phantom Pain. Phantom Pain was nothing his old games ever stood for or even came close to the excellence of his old games.

you forgot the horn,.?
Can someone briefly explain the deal with Konami and Kojima? I missed that part.
you forgot the horn,.?
That's because he's [sp]the REAL Kojima, not Venom Kojima[/sp]
That's because he's [sp]the REAL Kojima, not Venom Kojima[/sp]
[sp]then why does he have scars?[/sp] [editline]16th December 2015[/editline]
Why do people say this Dude was fucking expensive to publish games for.
I think the only thing Konami fucked up on was the embarrassingly childish way they let him go. Generally speaking, you shouldn't burn bridges.
True. Now imagine Konami attempting to publish any game in the current climate they have made for themselves. Not just any Metal Gear. Not just any Silent Hill. A Contra. A Castlevania. God forbid, a new IP. Any game at all. They are video game Satan right now. They don't even bother showing up to game events any more. They better hope that pachinko machines and health clubs stay lucrative forever, because they burned down every bridge they had with video games then burned down the house which those bridges led to.
That's because he's [sp]the REAL Kojima, not Venom Kojima[/sp]
The real Kojima has his own individual company called "Kojima Productions." Venom Kojima is planning on making a video game company as a ruse to distract Konami called "Fuck Konami."
[sp]then why does he have scars?[/sp] [editline]16th December 2015[/editline] You know MGSV made it's budget back and more?
That has nothing to do with the fact that AAA game development of that scale is expensive to start and has a long turn around Why do that when you can make the same profit margins on your other products with a much quicker turnaround, much less risk and much less initial investment? This is literally 101 business economics. You just happen to be seeing it on a large scale project like this instead of the small scale. People who are vilifying Konami for those reasons really don't understand how companies operate at all. For the record, I think Konami's execution of this is pretty damn shitty still.
