Its really weird, I never found TTT to be funny. Fun, yes, I loved playing it and the social engineering inherent to being a traitor and the edge of suspense to being everyone else. But funny? Rarely was it funny. And I have no idea what "Murder" is supposed to be.
Murder is like terrorist town but with one traitor but I fell outta the loop years ago so I didnt really play that one
DarkRP, while it was fun and nice at first, has also contributed to the death of garry's mod with servers becoming businesses. i miss when good videos came from garry's mod, when creativity was the norm, and squeakers and minges where few and easy to remove i put the blame of the decline on gmod 13, lazy workshop authors and lets players
Blast from the past right there. I still have the DVD that Robert burned and mailed to me from the UK.
I bought the DVD of this just to be able to say I did.
I remember when i watched this at night till the very 3 AM Good times
I was an extra in this when PHW was the cool place to be and I would only go onto Facepunch for models for gmod. I've been a member on Facepunch for 10 years now! Good times. :)

in hindsight most of this was pretty boring and only had a few exciting segments
I remember when there used to be threads in the gmod section here that were like "IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN OH NO" People are so gullible
Ah Litfuse. This was probably one of my favourites.
Wow, that just made my day. I got banned on a community called mIKe's ReVeNGe back when I was like 12 so I made an appeal and that video was pretty much the only response I got. I haven't been able to find that video until today.
in hindsight most of this was pretty boring and only had a few exciting segments
So was War of the Worlds - it's still great.
Whatever happened to the sequel that was in development, was it scrapped or did it just get lost in the times
I remember little 13 year old me getting hyped up over Thunderchild
Fuck this makes me feel old.
I remember I tried to buy the limited DVD copies they had, but sold out before I could buy it :(. Still really wish I could find a DVD copy... Great movie, I actually haven't watched it since it premiered.
This is a classic. A remnant of the golden ages when I played tons of GMod and CS:S. Wonderful memories. Also, this is a pretty fun War of the Worlds adaptation all things considered.
in hindsight most of this was pretty boring and only had a few exciting segments
Well that's basically how War of the Worlds was, mostly about the main character trying to survive the war rather than the actual war itself.
oh man
Great trip to the golden age of Gmod. Also, back when "mingebags" was a thing.
I don't get why everyone's saying "gmod sucks now" - Except in terms of RP, it's the fact that the parts of the community that DO suck have grown immensely. Sandbox is alive and well - the sorts of things you see coming out of build servers these days would've been beyond a dream in v9 and prior. I'll agree though, there absolutely was a charm to the simplicity of contraptions back before precision/PA, wire, gcombat or ACF were ever a thing. Making things that were functional beyond the ability to move was an immense challenge, and some really creative things were made in pursuit of that - just take it as a reminder of how far Gmod's come. I still remember first being shown how to make a car with thrusters and wheels, shit blew my mind.

Now we either have done most things you wanted to do in Gmod (aka you ran out of new things to try) or there was another game that did the thing you wanted to do the most but better.
Didn't they also give free dvd's with a full case to anyone that wanted them at their own expense? I suppose now that most of lit fuse work in the industry it paid off anywho
No they costed money [editline]22nd September 2015[/editline]
I remember this so fondly. God, the throw back to PHW and Litfuse. Sad both of those died. I think when those fell off was kinda when Gmod started to fall off for me as well for a while.
I didn't like PHW near the end, it was full of snobs.
Lit fuse was the best and i have yet to see anybody else make equally good machinimas in gmod, wish they never broke up
Hey, don't forget about the Janus Syndicate :v:
Oh man, this was a blast from the past. I remember they contacted me back in the day asking to use some of my models in their projects. Got my name in the credits and everything, I was so chuffed. :v:
I had this on my phone, I would play it when walking around instead of listening to music
I miss the days of having such a shitty internet connection that I had to ration my available bandwidth and had to watch a single episode of Combine Nation per month or devote it all to porn.
Whatever happened to the sequel that was in development, was it scrapped or did it just get lost in the times
Lit Fuse went to work for BW and then quit when things got political.
Wow that takes me back, it's was a simpler time, full of Gmod 9.0.4 lua bugs. Incidentally, here's a video of me trying to be Robert Stoneman;
i miss actual machinima does anybody still make good machinima, lit fuse style?
aw damn this was one of the things that first introduced me to gmod. i always kinda wished there was a network of servers you could run across like in the movie. I made this a few years back for shits and gigs cuz someone said it'd be cool to see an 'equel' type spinoff [editline]23rd September 2015[/editline]
i miss actual machinima does anybody still make good machinima, lit fuse style?
does this count? I still make shit in gmod because SFM confuses me
