Any significant amount of ammo would be too heavy, but they could put a pepperspray canister on it or something
Some plastic explosives should do the trick. Just fly it through a narrow space and BOOM!
Wow, nothing to do with manhacks functionally or visually but that is some amazing AI they have on that.
someone was still controlling it though, so you could call that person the pilot of the thing they were flying.
No. Look up the definition of an autonomous robot.
They should make this a toy and make millions.
Millions of health care issues!
They sound like giant flies. :iia:
Jesus fuck awesome! We so fucking live in the future, it's really happening!
It's not the unit that costs, it's programming. All I see is a device with 4 rotor blades. But the program calculates which rotor rotates at which speed to make that movement.
Because when programming things like this you have to cast 1s of silver and 0s of gold :downs: [editline]08:21PM[/editline] And calculating the speeds of the rotors is something I bet a plenty of the advanced Wiremod users could program in Gmod in few hours.
Any significant amount of ammo would be too heavy, but they could put a pepperspray canister on it or something
Maybe, maybe not. We don't know what powers this thing, where the power source is, or whatever. Even at it's current stage, given a gun it'll probably have equally awesome programming. Think aimbot, in real life. It might only need 4 or 5 rounds. Combined with a polymer-framed gun, would be very light. The problem is yes, even then it would be too heavy, but it's not such a far off idea. It's just, as with everything (see F-22) it takes years, or even decades, to get something into service, especially for such a different, strange device such as this.
Late.

Things like this are not simple, and no, it is not equivalent to making something in gmod work. The challenges are completely different, there's REAL factors involved such as inductance, air resistance, battery life, tension in the bars, etc. He was completely right. The cost of programming has nothing to do with casting 1s and 0s in gold and silver, it has everything to do with needing to pay a team of engineers to calculate everything, translate it to code, and make sure it actually works.
This is how technology evolves, it starts out with a somewhat simple design like this, and then it evolves to something so much more. I'm sure in a couple of years they'll make something fantastic out of this new piece of technology.
They should make this a toy and make millions.
I'd buy one. That thing looks amazing.
Looks like it would make a cool surveillance system, with it's ability to hang onto the walls and all.
The hacks!
ThE HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACKS [editline]11:40PM[/editline] You read that in the Rebel's voice
I always hated manhacks...such fucking pain in the asses. And now that they're practically real, life is gonna suck.
wow these are really cool
When the Combine come, do NOT show this to them. We don't want no aliens attacking us with our own manhacks, now do we? :downs:
It's autonomous, there is no pilot
Which is exactly why this is bloody fantastic to watch..
i want one SO HARD
