literally the same thing happened with MGS and nobody shits their pants over "you're pretty good" or "a weapon to surpass metal gear"
OKay, addendum, jokes that specifically cannot be taken out of context, but generally are and are within a short period of time (about 2 to 4 months).
Whoa, I'm getting flashbacks to 2012 from reading this thread.
i thought undertale was Boring
yah thats where theres like 4 pages of backlash to a post i forgot i even made [editline]8th February 2016[/editline] have you played Indie Meme Game of This Year?
If anybody else made posts like this they'd be banned for awful posts, what makes you so special? I hate awful fandoms too but you're going way overboard
i don't understand what this means. jokes that "cannot be taken out of context"?
Okay, so the whole thing with Papyrus and Spagetti. Anyone, except for inside of the fandom or those who've played the game, will never understand the multitude of jokes about this. However, people, within casual conversation regularly USE those jokes around people who've have no clue what they're talking about. It was an awkward statement, I understand.

Not that I want to go "OOOH BUT METAL GEAR FANS DO IT TOOOO ;~;", but well... They do. You'd be hard pressed to find a popular game or series where this doesn't happen. It's not a thing exclusive to Undertale.

Does that mean I should ignore the stupidity of it? Hell to the fuck no. I remember when we ignored Homestuck fans; and then they made cons literal nightmares of greypaint you can't get off the wall.
If anybody else made posts like this they'd be banned for awful posts, what makes you so special? I hate awful fandoms too but you're going way overboard
He was voted into being a mod, that makes him above the rules and lets him shitpost all he wants I don't like undertale that much either but he's just baiting people lol
Who would play that trash?
Hey, i specifically bought a Kraftware to play this trash.
If anybody else made posts like this they'd be banned for awful posts, what makes you so special? He's literally the only mod that has trouble interacting other forum members.
It's a nice little story. Fun for one playthrough, nothing mindblowing though, like what the fanbase makes it out to be. I mean, games didn't even have these things called "stories" until Undertale invented it! Truly revolutionary.
This thread sure is something... I understand some people don't like undertale, but what's the point in starting an argument? Just let people like and hate what they want. It's a game ffs.
no. i always play totally non lethal pacifist when i can. i did mgs3 and 4 without killing a single person. i dont like undertale because its not fun and not funny
Ok, this is more believable but it still seems like you're pretendinge (I'm still not sure if you are at this point in time) because you're describing something as being not fun and unfunny as a fact instead of as your own, homegrown opinion. When stated as a fact this way, the only way to observe whether or not this is true is to look at aggregate scores. Averaging out the scores between websites you get something around 90-95%. Far beyond the <50% required to even begin to describe something as not fun as a fact. So either you're wrong or you meant this:
No, I always play as a totally non-lethal pacifist when I can. I did MGS3 and 4 without killing a single person. I don't like Undertale because, in my opinion, it's neither fun nor funny.
Which would be a completely respectable opinion in the minority, if it wasn't for the post you made above it that I would consider to be one of the most flamey posts I've ever read on this forum.
*Sweet summer child*
Man it's Rusty, you're barking up the wrong tree. Gotta pick your battles wisely. Not to mention the only thing that's a bigger waste of time than arguing over an opinion on a video game is arguing over the semantics used in an opinion on a video game.
Man it's Rusty, you're barking up the wrong tree.
Oh, so what should I know about rusty? Is he just a fan of flaming?
Oh, so what should I know about rusty? Is he just a fan of flaming?
Let's just say he states his opinions bluntly and holds them firmly.
so should I play undertale or not?
I dunno maybe
Majority opinion says yes.
Undertale was the first video game ever :v:
so should I play undertale or not?
I'd put it up to a coin toss.
so should I play undertale or not?
Play Hatred instead.
so should I play undertale or not?
Demo.
so should I play undertale or not?
save your cash, watch a let's play [editline]7th February 2016[/editline] *imo
Play Hatred instead.
Funny how they forgot about that game despite the "controversies" surrounding it
I'd put it up to a coin toss.
heads or tales?
save your cash, watch a let's play [editline]7th February 2016[/editline] *imo
Eh I wouldn't recommend a let's play of it. Besides it's cheap as hell and short so you don't need to commit a lot of time to beating it.
heads or tales?
Tail for undertale
I guess I should finally play it after I was gifted it, but it just looks like generic indie game with that retro style.
I guess I should finally play it after I was gifted it, but it just looks like generic indie game with that retro style.
The visuals run the gambit of that indie "retro" style (especially in the tutorial area) and good pixel art that would fit in GBA or 2D PS1 games, but the game itself does do stuff to go beyond trying to be like retro games.
