The shop screens, overworld, and battle screen look almost like they are from different games. It's one of my few nitpicks.

I think the wise decision would be to pick up undertale when it's 50% off because by that time the overhype for the game will also be cut in half just to try it out.

MLP, Homestuck, whatever else, I just remember it all inciting flame wars like a spark in a grain mill. It still happens here, I think last year I saw some massive argument over MLP. I actually remember my first impressions/initial opinions on it being formed by reading the vitriol on FP, come to think of it. FP and fandoms don't really mix well outside of dedicated interest threads though, it seems.

man i'm glad i'm not as critical towards games as some of you guys are like i agree looking back that the gameplay is kinda repetitive and the graphics were kinda simple but when i was playing i don't think about any of that, i just enjoyed it.

Reminder that if you don't like something, and people that you don't like [i]do[/i] like it, that means that your opinions become objective fact I have to say I am impressed that it took 6 pages for the phrase "meme game" to show up, but it's also Rusty, so who even knows if it was real to begin with Could someone please point out all of the alleged tumblr jokes and memes in this game, that would be very helpful

I played the game and beat it tons of times, gave it chances, and jesus christ was it horrible. I really honestly hated it.

Undertale is an ok game. :smile:

My friend asked me a week ago what games I enjoyed the most from 2015, when I answered BloodBorne, Fallout 4 and the Witcher 3 he then asked "What else?"when I said "that's it" he gasped (comically) and asked "What about Undertale?", I then asked him what he really liked about it, and he said "the great and likeable characters of course!", I then proceeded to explain how that's only half the game and the other half is filled with really unenjoyable gameplay and pointlessly walking from character to character when sometimes your progress will be interrupted by a random monster inciting a battle that you've already done 20 times before with the same result as before, rendering the whole thing pointless and annoying. I'd have to say I really like Undertale for it's characters. In particular I've been able to relate a lot to Sans but that's just me. But gameplay wise I'd say the game was lacking. Don't get me wrong, it's a great Earthbounder and has some amazing callbacks to some of my favorite games like Yume Nikki, OFF, Mother, etc. I'm not a huge fan of bullet hells or jrpgs. I will say, though, that what Undertale did do it did really well. Gameplay wise I'm stuck between Fallout 4, Bloodborne, and MGSV for GOTY. Art direction def goes to Vermintide tho.

I waited for this Undertale thread to die because anything with a fandom generally doesn't do well outside its main thread, but this thread didn't die. It stayed determined. I'm afraid to look at pages 1 - 6.

As far as indie RPG games go, LISA is much better.

Undertale was alright imo, i did neutral first time then pacifist. Pacifist was a little more challenging, but undertale fans make it out to be riddled with complex puzzles and it just isnt, its not a hard game at all. Played it twice and thats enough for me
