Now that he's signed with a label, he's in a position where he doesn't really need to try with his music to be successful. At least that's my theory about his music direction. I mean he's still a cool guy, but it's really tempting to do everything the easy way when your risk is so low. That's kind of why I never want to make music a job.

When you're an starting artist currently in the struggle of whether or not your music will take off in popularity or not you need to try to make your music stand out from everyone else. If you're already successful you never really need to do that as much.

Not implying that any of this necessarily has to do with this video though.
