It could have been delayed to revamp the game for next gen.
Unless they confirmed somewhere it will definetely be for current generation consoles.
I'm so fucked with my 5650
Ditto. If I'm playing in a world that's supposedly under such surveillance data whatever control then I'd actually feel more immersed if there were other people who knew how to handle the high tech fancy hacking stuff not just the one guy in the entire world.
Exactly. Thats something I wish Strike Suit Zero had included, someone else in a similarly capable craft. I mean, its cool and all to look at a squadron of fighters or the top of a battleship and robotech the everloving fuck out of them all with a massive missile barrage, but I want a climactic battle with another strike suit type thing, having to dodge his massive missile barrages and counter with mine, dodge this way and that, it'd just be fun.

Well seeing as this is listed as PS3 and PS4 there's still hope

Pfff I got a 9600GT.
My plan was to buy a preconfigured PC to upgrade later, but turns out I'm so patient and care so little about the difference of Low - High graphics options I'm only now considering upgrading since stuff like Crysis 3 starts using Direct X beyond what this card supports. And by now all the stuff in my PC is so old I'd basically need to rebuy everything from the mainboard up.
Tho considering consoles are coming out, maybe hardware and PC packages will drop in price to stay competitive? I have no idea how this market works, lol.

In case you guys didn't know, in the 1st trailer they revealed that the game will focus largely on multiplayer. IIRC, there will be plenty of other hackers in the game who are controlled by other players. You will have to do things like team up with them, you might even have a contract on one of them.
Sounds a lot like a polished Mindjack Multiplayer mode.
IMO that's what adds to the experience, you'll have no idea when or where you'll have another player on your back, which could lead to some intense situations.

Well in theory that's exactly the point. The other player isn't called a "player" in either of the two trailers. He's called an Intruder. He's trying to hijack your game and you want him not to invade your privacy.
Look, as much as that's fine and dandy, people in online games are often fucking assholes. I'm alright with one of my friends that I know and allow to joining my session and fucking up my shit or teaming up with me to fuck up shit, and I'm not quite as cool with some swearing 12 year old or lagging ruskie doing the same.

I have a 9400GT. The dude at the store told me it was good and I bought it. Later I found out it was shit, and my plan was to switch to something else when I had money. It's been like four years and I'm still broke.
fite me irl
I have a feeling the multiplayer will be a lot like Dark Souls - hopefully with the no VOIP part intact.
You'll just see an "intrusion detected" pop up or something and shit'll start happening

That, and remove the fucking retarded FLUX ENERGY or whatever they had system.
Make strike mode an actual proper alternative, give it some downsides, not just "spend 2 hours shooting at shit to FUCK SHIT UP LIKE A BADASS for 2 seconds"
Or have it just be the strike suit mode and make it more maneuverable. Balance the game for that and make the player actually feel like they are in a fucking super gundam thing.

This is excellent.
Like seriously, everything I hear just makes the game sound better and better.
I know better than to get too excited about this. That was clearly scripted. Also, why did he go to such an insane amount of trouble just to beat up some guy?

Well he did cause the little roadblock things to come up and smash the cop car, which would escelate any police situation. Plus I am guessing you are playing as a vigilante, so they know who he is. If he just turned himself in it would be more than a slap on the wrist.

It might have been clearly scripted like 5 years ago, nowadays all that is totally possible to be in an open-world game. Sure, they might have spawned the NPCs specifically in those places to make the demo more interesting, but I bet it could still happen just like that if the circumstances in the game happened to get set up that way.

I've heard that GTA 5 is, although I can't say for certain.

He went and stopped the criminal, if you just shot him you'd probably get a bad rep

ppst did you see the morality meter when he ran away from the cops at the beginning
Yeah I don't think it was fully scripted, but they did do some dev magics
like spawning NPCs probably, and they used godmode (when he's first climbing the building near the railroad you can see some bullets just go through him)
LOOKS FUCKING HYPE DOE
I know better than to get too excited about this. That was clearly scripted. Also, why did he go to such an insane amount of trouble just to beat up some guy?
The devs probably just spawned the NPCs so they could show off what they wanted to show off - which is the same reason why "he did to such an insane amount of trouble". Sudden side quests with varying NPCs were already used from AC:Brotherhood, so I don't doubt Ubi can pull it off. Cars you'll probably also be able to take down as demonstrated, and hijack trains as well. But it would suck if they wanted to show it off and had to wait for the entities to come up at just the right moment.
Rewatching the first trailer got me thinking again tho: When he disabled the traffic lights, there was a hectic sound that "flatlined" at a certain point, and then he hit the switch and suddenly cars were spawned to crash into oncoming traffic.
I wonder if those cars were spawned by the devs or if they're put in there by the game (like when you whistle for your horse in Assassin's Creed or Skyrim and it's suddenly coming from around the corner). The sound cue could've marked at which point traffic aligns perfectly for a crash so you don't just create an "uhm... okay" moment by disabling the traffic lights. Without such features, I imagine it would be really difficult to time everything.

I interpreted that to be a chargeup type thing, not a marker or an indicator.
That scene right there was probably a mission script as you said because traffic density like, fucking tripled when he hit the button. The way it played out, it was at least context specific. I.E. Target approaching in a car, break the traffic lights to trap them there.
ban watch dogs, promotes hacking in our youth!!!!
this game looks like loads of fun, and I expect to have fun dicking around in multiplayer (?) with my friends like we've done in GTA4
i dunno about the multiplayer, i don't want random assholes dropping in on my game.. hopefully it can be disabled
With this as a launch title, noone will be able to complain about launch titles.
Still buying it for the PC though.

I thought there was no real singleplayer? Currently every trailer always hinted towards a sort of MMO'ish world where players are controlling parts of the city and you can claim territory yourself by doing missions and stuff.

The map seems much, much too small for something like that. Plus it wouldn't make sense, seeing as Aidan Pierce is a pretty well-thought out and intricately-designed character. It would be weird if there were 20 of them running around, or if only one person at a time was allowed to play as him.
It's probably just that there are a bunch of "lobbies" of people playing the campaign story, and you can become an Infiltrator and invade their game. You'll maybe get store points or something for killing Pierce, but I was imagining only up to 4 other Infiltrators in the same game fighting against you to capture him.
I don't know if I should get this or GTA V, I saw this at E3 and was amazed.
Get whatever comes out first.
At least it's nice to finally have games that aren't held back visually by consoles. It's been bugging me that there hasn't been any real step forward until lately.

But GTAV looks shit.
My GeForce Titan is ready
Yeah the stuff that happened was definitely scripted to appear but there's also no reason that it couldn't happen that way during a real game. Nothing that happened was that spectacular from a sandbox game perspective. He stumbled across a little side mission and cops showed up.

Maybe because they have only showed screenshots from Ps3/Xbox
