I really do hope this will incorporate elements of the levolution gimmick from BF4. On some maps it was utter piss, but on others it really was a cool mechanic, primarily the weather altering ones. I could see massive sandstorms sweeping across north africa really altering gameplay, storms at sea mixing up naval combat and deluges flooding trenches on the western front shaking up gameplay.
ooooo probably guna be some trench mines used as levelution! And maybe an exploding zeppelin. I doubt those will be moveable, given that they usually were pretty stationary unless used as long ranged bombers, which could be cool for a titan sort of gamemode. But what else could they do for levelution? Maybe some rain that makes the battlefield muddy and you go super slow? Everyone would probably hate that. I also hope there is a map that starts off like a nice green forest, then by the end of the round, it just looks like all the pictures we see of no-mans land. That's always been something I've wanted from battlefield games since they added destruction. Seeing how the battlefield has changed during the fighting. Something like the round ending scenes in Bad Company 2 where it plays a little cinematic on the map you just fought on. And if you blew up the right parts of the map, you could make some silliness when you see a tank just float over a crater.
StrawberryClock made one himself and posted it already, dunno if he posted here so: https://vid.me/Y5xS
This is the thumbnail I made for the youtube video: [t]http://i.imgur.com/wxTd71z.jpg[/t]
I think the last part of Woodkid's Land of All where the instruments kick in harder would have been perfect for an intense combat filled trailer without any instruments sounding too digital and out of place. 3:19 and onward.
Ubisoft used Iron by Woodkid excellently in this awesome trailer: [hd]https://youtu.be/HMsbMK9Odoc[/hd]
This is the thumbnail I made for the youtube video: [t]http://i.imgur.com/wxTd71z.jpg[/t]
Yours died too?
There better be an ANZAC map goddammit
I hope they go back to a cleaner sounding main theme this time.
Yours died too?
I made another video that redirects to it. Seems like some people are whitelisted, though. I think everyone who's into Ronku can use and modify the trailer as they please.
I wonder how they're going to handle the factions in this? It be great if they included Britain, France, and Germany. Russia, Ottomans, and Austria-Hungary would be harder to do since they didn't employ tanks and/or planes. I just hope they don't pull the whole power-up bullshit that Battlefront had with it's vehicles. Also I hope the lack of missiles and guided weapons make driving tanks a more enjoyable experience because on some maps in BF3 and BF4 driving tanks was an absolute pain in the ass because in some areas you couldn't move an inch without something locking onto you or some guy rushing with C4.
There better be an ANZAC map goddammit
There's probably a Gallipoli map... Goodbye COD
There's probably a Gallipoli map...
One of the 'famous' youtubers who was at the event and saw the additional footage said there was short footage of a beach assault but wasn't aware of what it was exactly. Calling it Gallipoli isn't going to mean a whole lot since they probably won't model mid war uniforms and will probably be inclusive of tanks and all that, but yeah there will probably be a middle eastern map centered around a beach assault.

I really can't think of any other battle that could be, though. What other beach landings in WW1 would they make a map of? Perhaps I just don't know about them, but then that would beg the question why would they make a map of it if it isn't very well known. Besides, Gallipoli, besides the western front, is probably one of the most noteable fronts of the war, at least from my own perspective. I knew about Gallipoli and heard the name before I knew it was even part of WW1. I'm sure they have some map dedicated to it.
They better atleast have ANZAC models goddammit
The trailer showed what seemed to be an Australian 2nd Tunneling Company soldier.
I feel as if the song was fitting. World War One was the beginning of true modern war and the grungy remix of the song represented the "Seven Nation Army" (The "Seven Nation Army being in its truest form.

Anyone else noticed xenomorph sound when armored train was in frame? Also, calling it now there will be no Russia because Triple Entente is a myth and DICE/EA cannot into proper history.
Unless you want to go with something orchestral or re-record a track from that era, there really is no song from that time period that would work well in an action-y trailer like this.
Bit late to the party but how about one of the best renditions of the BF1942 theme? Battlefield 1 is just another teaser for 2143
Battlefield 1 is just another teaser for 2143
It was a hologram all a long, the real war is soon.
It was a hologram all a long, the real war is soon.
It was all a dream. Directed by your dog.
Songs like this just don't fit the theme that they were going with in the trailer.

Yeah, I think it could work really well if it was re-arranged similarly to the SNA remix they used, but I'm not sure if it'd appeal to such a wide range of people the way SNA did. Considering Battlefield is a triple-A franchise I'm not surprised they picked a more mainstream style. I don't even care for SNA and I enjoyed the trailer with it.
"I don't like this music so it doesn't fit at all and is shit, pay no attention to the fact the scenes are literally cut and edited to fit the music, because my butthurt is more important than what's objectively on screen" I'm usually the first guy to kick shitty marketing in the balls, because I have to deal with it at my job directly sometimes, but nothing about this doesn't fit. They cut the trailer directly to the music, cue by cue, and it fits.

fuck dude you guys are making me miss BFH now. :/

It could have been better, but considering that there were 7 major nations in Europe in WWI, 7 nation army works just fine.
