Everything works just perfectly. I like the ending because I completely forgot about the father-son relationship.
I hope once the beta hits we will figure out how valve gets that certain blur and color correction or something that makes it look CG-I. Because I have seen what the whole Meet The Heavy template looks like from the SFM beta and for some reason valve's official version looks much better.
Post processing. Avisynth can make equally good results, just takes hell of a long time.
Meet the Pyro got some mixed feedback but there's nobody who can say this was bad!

That's fan-fucking-tastic.
This is really close to Valve-quality. I would love to see more.
My two favorite classes too.
Imagine this being used for Gmod machinimas.
This is really close to Valve-quality. I would love to see more.
It's really good for community-made but I wouldn't go that far Unlike Valve's, the custom animations were all less than pretty poor
It's really good for community-made but I wouldn't go that far Unlike Valve's, the custom animations were all less than pretty poor
I think you're focusing far more on the animation aspect of the video rather than the actual directing. The camera work was brilliant, and at certain parts, was even more clever than what Valve takes advantage of in my opinion. Look back at the video. Clearly the highlight of it isn't the animation, it utilizes a number of camera tricks far more times than it does animated scenes.

That's also the reason i zoom as much in as possible on the faces when doing custom animations instead of showing the whole body, without completely ruining the scene of course.
This was awesome.
What do you mean by "was"? this is awesome
I think this guy had this video posted on the official twitter and then they gave him a key for it.

My point was that the custom animations are what tipped you off as it not being Valve because everything else was very well executed.
why red? why not blue?
Imagine this being used for Gmod machinimas.
God no. Most TF2 Gmod machinima is absolute garbage.
why red? why not blue?
Because nobody cares.
