whats next pretending that the human eye can't see above 24fps?
There's tools for recording Minecraft stuff with zero dropped frames. It could very well be non-realtime. Last time I tried extreme shader shit, it ran pretty bad on my GTX 680 - and that was in 1080p. Yes, the GTX 970 is stronger, but I don't think it's capable of 4K60fps with some of these very performance draining shader mods.
playing minecraft without mods gets unbelievably stale after a short time
I've only played vanilla forever. (apart from messing with shaders)

The GTX 970 is around 50% more powerful than the 680, not 400+%. Explain to me the "lasp" in logic, because I'm not seeing it. [editline]o[/editline] Besides, it was recorded with Minema (specifically a non-real time recorder) and Mineshot (utility for recording at higher than native res). Doesn't exactly scream real-time to me. [editline]12th June 2017[/editline] Also I couldn't help but notice that the light rays were emanating from the wrong location in that trailer: [thumb]http://puu.sh/whJH7.png[/thumb] (contrast increased for extra visibility)

They wouldn't, because that would be insanely dumb. The PC version would look and run better by virtue of having better access to hardware.

In any case, I wasn't arguing that - just arguing that the shaders have ran like shit on the java version in my experience, and that Tuskins claims weren't baseless.
