When I saw the Tupac hologram, that was a "Holy shit!" moment.
This is more like.. "Okay".
It feels kinda wrong to use his image like this after his death. It is a scarey thought of a future where dead celebrities are never truly dead but assets owned by large corporations used for marketing and revenue.
His own father was up there trying to make money off of Jackson's death before he was even in the ground.
There was something off about his face. The eyes and nose especially seemed off to me, but then again I just rewatched moonwalker last night; maybe it's just due to aging.
American Pop star blocked in America. :v:
Doesnt look like MJ imho. And now that I look back the 2Pac hologram didnt really look like him either.
Do they record doppelgänger performances and then just beam them onto the stage or what?
Go with vimeo.

Are holograms meant to have shadows?

pretty sure they record a performer and the face is cgi or a 3d mask or something. i could be wrong though.
I think it's kinda funny how the hologram and artwork for the new album uses a more 90s era likeness for Michael.
I guess everybody is trying their best to repress the memories of old, surgically broken Michael v:v:v

I don't think you'd want to be remembered for looking like your avatar over there.
Alki David is behind the company that makes this :v:

I don't know how I feel about this becoming a thing. It's like it's turning real people into puppets.
