i didn't play past the first two games and personally i think that the modern day parts of the first game at least were great. they provided a great contrast to the freedom of the animus by constricting your movements, and the world and mystery they built up was great imo.
i didnt play past 2 because the cracks started showing in that one, but the first game imo was quite compelling from a storytelling standpoint, and unfortunately it looks like they're fucking up the atmosphere of the modern day completely in this one

im conflicted on this because some of the cinematography looks nice in this but some of it looks super run of the mill corporate executive generic as well

tbh, I want a game that's set in the modern times and not in the past, because all we get of the modern times is cinematics, and I see a great way of doing modern stuff as their own segments, kinda like the modern AC3 segments, loved those.
