Oh. Yeah you're right I totally forgot.
Weeelll, I sorta didn't take that much notice of her anyways.

Mute the trailer then if it's the music bothers you holy fuck stop complaining
They ditched the assassinating in Hitman Absolution. Now Hitman just comforts people.
"There there, everything will be okay. You don't have to become a kidnapper just to pay your kid's tuition."

If they have changed the ragdoll physics, I will buy ten copies.
that "instinct" thing is complete bullshit.
I'm sorry but this just does not feel like hitman at all.
All the signs are here that this is Hitman: Conviction, yo... Really disappointing.

But the game used to glorify, encourage, and even reward stealth while penalizing you for taking a "kill every motherfucker in the room" approach.
Now it seems they're focusing the whole game on going in guns blazing and just quickly adding in "oh i guess you can sneak around that corner and sedate the guy, BUT WHY DO THAT WHEN YOU HAVE A FIREAXE IN YOUR HAND AND A LOADED .45 BALLER IN THE OTHER?"
Hitman Blood Money had as much combat as Absolution does. Go replay it. The very first training mission even had you shoot up a room.
But the game used to glorify, encourage, and even reward stealth while penalizing you for taking a "kill every motherfucker in the room" approach.
No it didn't, you could play through every level by just shooting every single living thing you see and it would let you do that without any penalties (yeah your score at the end of the level would be lower but who gives a shit about that)
the training missions was the game's demo actually, they merely kept it in because it also showed new players the controls.
The first missions was merely a demonstration of the game's new abilities and focused on that. It is the ONLY mission in the game where you have to kill non mark targets. After that mission, every single mission can be accomplished with no other casualties than the intended targets.

I take it you played on easy then. Any other difficulty your notoriety would go up and you'd loose A LOT of money each mission. Not to mention that with a high notoriety, as soon as you started the mission people would recognize you and start shooting.

at 11:42 that policeman seems to purposely ignore agent 47. he's staring at the wall while he walks by.
Needs more Splinter Cell and less Max Payne.
AKA More like Blood Money

Yeah, and the level displayed in this gameplay and the video as a whole exist to show off NEW features, not just see 47 sneak and neck wire all of the policemen.
I don't get people who go "DURRR IDIOT, of COURSE you are going to be able to play it stealthy" as if it's an obvious conclusion based on the trailers and gameplay we have seen, which has exclusively shown the opposite
I think my video is appropriate here

That was possibly more retarded than any gameplay video or trailer released for this game yet, combined with the reactions that idiots who can't wait for more information have been spouting.
Going by the gameplay footage released so far, yes, you can sneak about all ninja like and get away with it just fine. If you pick the right path through the library they use, I'm sure there's a path or two with a low to none chance of running into an enemy you have to remove. But to show how combat and stuff works, it makes sense they'd pick a path where you run into an enemy.
The gameplay showed:
Stealth,
Distractions,
Disguises,
Sedation,
Stealthy(ish) kills,
Hostage taking,
and a few other minor things
Basically, you're all being massive fucking idiots again, judging a game with very little to actually judge it on. Do you not understand how promotional media works or something? You don't just show one thing as it limits the audience. You show interesting, catching things to grab peoples attention. Of course the trailer is going to be more action based than most of you will play the game.
Its the facepunch way. I haven't really been paying attention to Absolution but going by every other game facepunchers have judged negatively prematurely (fallout (Oh no its not isometric, now its terrible!), DX: HR (There's a cover system and regenerating health, DX sucks now!), etc.) they're jumping on another bandwagon. Of course we won't actually know until the game comes out, so we'll see then. Maybe the facepunch majority opinion is right this time.
Also once I got to the Absolution part of the above video where you used derpsolution, it became instantly unfunny. Well done pandering to 12 year olds.

Yes, but out of all 3 trailers shown for this video, they take place in different places and occur at different times and even then all we see is "BLAM BLAM, GUNS ERRYWARE MAYN GETTING VIOLENT UP IN HURR".

Well then maybe they should show more than just intense gun battles which, throughout the whole hitman series has been highly discouraged. You said that they showed things like stealth and distractions so i know you're going to just say "wow you suck at reading", i'm not asking for tastes of their stealth, i want a whole meal of it.
Every single video they have released just shows 47 being as violent and destructive as the Postal Dude. If you are making another game in a series, you should probably focus on the game's main point with some new things thrown in; Blood money did this very well by keeping stealth a priority and made it more intense by rehauling melee weapons allowing for more gruesome close combat kills while remaining quiet. You don't just SUDDENLY shift the focus of a stealth series to an all out gun fight simulator with some stealth if you feel like it. Hitman is the complete opposite, it's about killing your mark stealthily or with an all out gun fight if you feel like it.
So yes, i'm judging this game already, because if i saw the video for the sim city and it was only focusing on something like "you can zoom in and control individual people living in a house within the city" then it's not sim city anymore; it's just the sims, sure it has aspects of sim city but it's just focusing on that new sim feature.

Target markets change. People today are a lot more interested in action in their games, so promotional media compensates for that by showing more action. Perhaps they will release a trailer where they focus more on the stealth options? Who knows. Some games have done this in the past, broken what they show up into multiple trailers instead of trying to condense it into one.
The gameplay video showed enough stealth and distraction to give you an idea of how it works in the game. There is no point showing every single aspect of sneaking around as it will just dull the experience when the game releases. That gameplay video doesn't show 47 being "as violent and destructive as the Postal Dude" to me, it shows him sneaking around, taking out a police officer or two that obstructs his path, while at the same time showing the view the various ways of doing that. The entire first portion of the video is him avoiding conflict at all costs. Then moving on to show stealthier methods to remove threats, then blowing his cover to show more action.
As I said before, we have little to judge the game on still, but from the looks of it the stealth is still there, and is still a focus. You and many others just seem to be ignoring it to find a reason to bitch about something. It's not a sudden change of pace at all, it just isn't going to be exactly the same as its predecessors as the market changed between now and then.
At first it looked like they totally fucked up everything
the reveal trailer made people uncomfortable and the gameplay was unnerving.
Now they finally explain themselves more, it may look like some bullshit Splinter Cell but at heart it is what Hitman has been about.
The old action movies of the 90's and early 2000's was a big inspiration for the series, only later the idea of the "silent assassin" came into play. Sure as shit that got perpetuated throughout, and especially now we consider Hitman to be that stealth game except it entirely wasn't.

I'm not looking for a reason to bitch at this game; i don't have to look for one. Every video i've seen is throwing things at me to bitch at.
I can respect your optimism but from EVERYTHING i've seen, stealth is no longer a priority.
I'm thinking of trying out Hitman, should I get 2 or Bloodmoney if I decide to get one?
And how do you suggest they make a trailer of of those key features? A trailer that's all just a guy hiding behind stuff is going to be boring as fuck to watch.
Then you know what to expect! The trailer shouldn't be universally appealing because the game sure as fuck shouldn't be.
