I like how people here are saying this is completely unlike the series. Despite the previous game having you go guns blazing on both the first and final mission. Like you seriously needed to kill EVERYONE in the final one. Yeah, the gameplay shown looks kinda splinter cell ish, but im still considering the fact that its the tutorial, or so ive heard.
I'm not looking for a reason to bitch at this game; i don't have to look for one. Every video i've seen is throwing things at me to bitch at. I can respect your optimism but from EVERYTHING i've seen, stealth is no longer a priority.
Good, because it has never been a priority. Priority for Hitman games has ALWAYS been the fact that do what you have to do to get the job done.
Anyone else notice things fucking up at around 0:27?
The gameplay video crashes Chrome. It got too excited.
Anyone else notice things fucking up at around 0:27?
Yeah, the tits don't even have physics
ITT: I mean ITF? In this forum: new games aren't allowed.
ITT: I mean ITF? In this forum: new games aren't allowed.
New sequels that disregard everything that the last games did and what made them great kind of suck.
At 0:50 he shoots a guy twice and then catches his body so it doesn't make a thump as it hits the ground. 47, you're shutting the door after the horse has bolted.
Can't wait until I get to play this, quite stoked.
Yeah, but through hiding in plain sight and stealthing it up. Sure it was always an option, but you're telling me straight combat was the way Hitman was meant to be played?
Did I ever say that? I said that the main point behind Hitman games were to give the player multiple choices to make the kill. You could accomplish it without killing anyone except the target or you could kill everyone else and the target. The game never told you "DO NOT KILL ANYONE ELSE" or "KILL EVERYONE". The game didn't care about how you made the kill. All that mattered was that you MADE the kill.
I just have a bitter taste in my mouth after Conviction ruined my favourite game series and went pretty much the exact same way of "hey guys you can still be stealthy even though we're showing only action in all our marketing" then forced you into gunfights every 5 minutes
Splinter Cell went to shit after Chaos Theory anyways, so it's a lost cause. Hitman games have been solid games every time, so I still have hope.
wow this looks like complete shit. I have no hopes for this.
People should stop judging the entire game before they've seen more gameplay than the first level The intro of Blood Money was a linear level that was a mixture of stealth and gunfights The intro of Absolution is a linear level with a mixture of stealth and gunfights
Once people see something they don't like, they refuse to see it any other way. It's just how dumb people work.
And how do you suggest they make a trailer of of those key features? A trailer that's all just a guy hiding behind stuff is going to be boring as fuck to watch.
People like you are the reason for this and the abomination that was Splinter Cell: Conviction. [editline]31st March 2012[/editline]
I just have a bitter taste in my mouth after Conviction ruined my favourite game series and went pretty much the exact same way of "hey guys you can still be stealthy even though we're showing only action in all our marketing" then forced you into gunfights every 5 minutes
Force gunfights were a complete bullshit. It's like the developers suddenly realized that their game is piss easy even with only an un-upgraded starter pistol and on hardest difficulty and though "Gosh, how can we make this more challenging? Maybe we should came up with more challenging level design? NAAAAH. Let's just put Fisher in a fully lit room with no escape route and surround him with enemies!" Conviction was broken both as an action game and as a stealth game, and I suspect the same thing will happen with Absolution.
I didn't see anything remotely Hitman esque about what I just watched.
The hint is in the name. (absolution)
New sequels that disregard everything that the last games did and what made them great kind of suck.
Yes because what we've played proves that... oh wait we haven't played it yet, we've watched a trailer and a gameplay of someone playing, who could have a totaly different play style to others cause you know... he's not you?
Textures look horrible, animations look stiff... Kane and Lynch engine you say? Well, I can see where the problem is.
Never played a hitman game, but I saw the film, and this looks gorgeous
you sound mad
you sound mad
There's no reason why he wouldn't be.
I'm really looking forward to this.
Trailers and gameplay videos=what the full game is according to facepunch, we don't know how it will play, the trailer shows a lot of violence and things that 47 wouldn't do much, which the devs made and the gameplay showed different things which the person may like playing it differently to you, so atleast wait till the game is released before judging.... I have faith that it'll be like the rest, but FP seems to think that cause videos mean thats how the whole game plays and you can't play it like you want to.
Anyone notice how more action went into every version of the game from before in Hitman 1 to Blood Money [editline]31st March 2012[/editline] And the same thing happened with Splinter Cell Games are getting more action-y to keep up to the attention span that most people have which is next to none. I didn't find Splinter Cell: Conviction a bad game and I had great fun with it, but the thing is I will get bored with the long missions of the first Hitman and Splinter Cell (1)
Oh yeah. THAT. @05:00 Because 4 way sword fights are so Hitman.
This doesn't exist. Make it go away. [sp]The ending was pretty sweet though[/sp]
At 0:50 he shoots a guy twice and then catches his body so it doesn't make a thump as it hits the ground. 47, you're shutting the door after the horse has bolted.
Also I believe he covers the guy's mouth too.
This is to Hitman as Conviction is to Splinter Cell It just doesn't seem to have the Hitman gameplay to it
Yes we know as we've all played Absolution already.... no need to say anymore.
