Her back was arched a lot, and she was far-gripping it too.
Your forearms need to be perpendicular to the ground for a proper bench press.
and lots of pressure on their soft joints. You internet doctor always laugh at people who say it's bad for young kids to lift heavy but every single person (that i know) that was lifting heaving when they were in their teens is fuckin short.
Weight lifting in general shrinks people (or at least it seems that way) I've got a friend who both his parents are body builders and everyone in his family is super fucking short.
She's pretty badass, and looks fairly cute too.
She looks like a mongoloid, you're just being nice.
Not denying that she is strong, but she's not even close to doing a real rep.

I don't think she looks that bad, she got the face of a typical 13yo.
I expected her to be all muscular, but she's cute. A cute little girl that could tear my face off.
The abs on that one girl.. Ewwww
It's one thing for a girl to be in shape, but when they are completely toned... it just looks nasty
Shes 13 years old.
Why are you talking about her like that.
I thought it was a bad idea to do weight training at young ages or when you're still growing?
Protein that should be used for actual growth goes towards muscle growth instead. So you might end up being shorter than you otherwise would. (She's tall enough though :v:)

This is just stupid. As has already been said before in this thread, it has been proven that lifting does not stunt growth.
Short people can lift weights too. A lot of people lift. It's stupid to see short people and go, "hue it's because they lift weights."

Maybe everyone, I dunno, is short because, I dunno, genetics. Everyone in his family is short? Must be because they lift and not because they have shit genetics hurr durr.
Also, her form is fine. The load is not on her back, the it is on her shoulders which are pinned to the bench. Doesn't matter how much weight you're holding up, the load is never on your back no matter how much you arch. The arch simply turns it into a decline bench, targeting chest more and removing the shoulders from the equation making it easier and safer to move more weight as well as reducing the required range of motion.
Kid's fucking strong
damn girl id like to bench u ;) ;)
I don't see how this is THAT amazing. Yes, she's young and benches up way more than most facepunchers could, but she's moving that like few inches! Same thing with on the foot press when they slam huge weights on it and then move it like and inch and call it a day and boast about it on Facebook.
I'll promise to be amazed when she does that without that fucking ridiculous arc and lying flat on the bench.
ITT people arguing over good form vs improper form
Fresh from the youtube comments:
I want to take her* out for a nice dinner, tell her how beautiful she is, marry her and have lots of children and just work out with her every day. Because she's just lovely.

wtf
i keep forgetting there are a bunch of 12-15 year olds on fp and them talking about a 13y girl isn't that weird.
i still feel incredibly dirty and weird after looking at these posts.
This make me look like a wuss
That is still extremely impressive, but I was hoping for a full rep.
itt fitness envy
This is my fetish.
She used to post on the Body Building forum when she was 11
I think people might be confusing weight lifting from intense physical strain before puberty.
A good example is all the girls who compete in the Olympic gymnastics stay like 11-like until 17 and then boom they change so fast since they slowed down their training and they explode into maturity.
Weight lifting aint quite the same thing I'd wager.
Though to be clear I don't even lift.
If she took a shit she'd probably crack the bowl jesus christ
If I did reps like these I could probably lift a lot more than my current max.
It's like going up to the squat rack, slapping 8 plates onto each side, and then going down half an inch. :v:
Ok I'm off to the gym I can barely do one good set at 1 plate.
I thought it was a bad idea to do weight training at young ages or when you're still growing?
Probably not when you're already a tower.

No it isn't.
God damn people are stupid. Yes, the bar isn't moving much, but it isn't comparable to doing a 1/8 ROM squat.
Everything in her technique uses physics and the human physiology to her advantage. If she didn't arch her back, her delts would take some of the load and limit how much she could lift. If her grip was more narrow, her triceps would take a lot of the load. The entire point of a lift like this is to place all of the load on the largest muscles (the pecs) for maximum efficiency.
A more accurate comparison would be a sumo deadlift. If your feet are super wide, the bar technically travels less distance. But you're still getting a full range of motion

It has more to do with diet.
Gaining weight as a gymnast is a big no-no so their diets are kept in check. If a kid isn't eating a surplus they aren't going to grow very much at all.
It's also more a case of elite gymnasts being small than gymnastics making people small. Like I said, being big means you're moving more weight around, which is a disadvantage. There's plenty of girls who do gymnastics and grow to normal sizes, they just don't make it to elite levels.
