cool that we at least reached page 2 before making jokes about trying to rape a 13 year old
Maybe everyone, I dunno, is short because, I dunno, genetics. Everyone in his family is short? Must be because they lift and not because they have shit genetics hurr durr.
Well not everyone, only the mother and father (who lifted) and my friend who lifts currently. Both his brother and sister are normal height. In fact his brother is very tall. There is also no need for you to be so aggressive.
she looks like she smells like soup
No it isn't.
God damn people are stupid. Yes, the bar isn't moving much, but it isn't comparable to doing a 1/8 ROM squat.
Everything in her technique uses physics and the human physiology to her advantage. If she didn't arch her back, her delts would take some of the load and limit how much she could lift. If her grip was more narrow, her triceps would take a lot of the load. The entire point of a lift like this is to place all of the load on the largest muscles (the pecs) for maximum efficiency.
A more accurate comparison would be a sumo deadlift. If your feet are super wide, the bar technically travels less distance. But you're still getting a full range of motion
And performing a 1/8 ROM squat causes several of your leg muscles to not take much of the load. See the similarity?
Also, I never denied the efficiency of her form. No one here has.
Having done both the standard deadlift and the sumo deadlift, I understand your point. You can get a lot more weight off of the ground, but it almost feels like cheating. This is why smith racks and sumos are frowned upon.
Brace yourselves child molesters
That form is a great way to die.
I can't help but think she is going to snap her shit up someday.

Yes, she's technically doing a decline bench - which is far easier than doing a flat bench for a number of reasons. And she's technically within the rules of a majority of powerlifting comps, including any major ones, but you don't see anyone else using this kind of excessive arch. also have you ever seen an actual high end powerlifter doing a bench for comp? their delts don't take any of the load except when they lockout, your delts shouldn't even be taking any of the load on a normal flat for BBing unless you're a tard.
I can't compare this to a sumo deadlift, i honestly would compare this to not doing full ROM when you consider how actual high level powerlifters bench. in terms of a decline bench, it's full ROM. In terms of 99% of elite powerlifters, it's not full ROM.
I don't see how this is THAT amazing. Yes, she's young and benches up way more than most facepunchers could, but she's moving that like few inches! Same thing with on the foot press when they slam huge weights on it and then move it like and inch and call it a day and boast about it on Facebook.
I'll promise to be amazed when she does that without that fucking ridiculous arc and lying flat on the bench.
Let's see you do that shit then. I can hardly rep 140 and I'm in decent shape, for being 13 years old that's extremely impressive.
did someone put steroids in her sippy cup? jesus
did someone put steroids in her sippy cup? jesus
To be honest she's not even that big, although she looks much older than she is. Had the title not said 13, I would have assumed 16-18.
Pfft, these comments.
"Yeah she bench pressed a lot but she sits funny so she's a pussy. I bet I could beat her 1v1 IRL"

I don't think that is what they are trying to say. Lifting like that is extremely dangerous because she is literally lifting with her back. That's why the first thing you learn is to keep your back straight against the bench.

That's simply not true.

Everyone arches their back, trust me, it's actually the form that feels natural, I do it that way as well (Obviously not with that much of an arch but still). Here's a guy that does pretty much the exact same thing and explains it thoroughly.
strong broscience, lifting weights at a young age doesn't do shit to stunt your growth in terms of height. your height is determined by genetics. doesn't matter if you're benching 200lbs at 16 or not, if your genetics say you're going to be above 6' you're going to be above 6' unless you eat like shit or break your bones or something. get out

not sure if you're being serious, who the fuck else is going to report on things concerning WEIGHTLIFTING excepts websites that are dedicated to news and information about WEIGHTLIFTING
you can also easily check the "references" section at the end of the articles where it states several other references since you're apparently too lazy to do it yourself

Arch like that is fine but exaggerated is not.

So find a random source not dedicated to weightlifting?
That's like going to a media source for information on the effects of playing video games, which will be completely bogus.
Take it from the people who actually know what they're talking about.

Might be the camera angle but her arch looks pretty exaggerated like that guy in that video.
Females tend to be able to arch more because they are generally more flexible than guys, especially huge powerlifter guys. I can guarantee you if those guys could arch like that without snapping their spine in half, they would.
There's just no reason for me to try anymore. Gonna go buy some Cheetos and lay on the floor for a few days.
I'm surprised that's an acceptable form.

I don't think many people on FP lift.

Some of these YouTube comments make me feel like the FBI is about to come busting in through my windows.
Can anyone tell me what weight those plates are on the first rep/set? They look like 45lbs, not 45kg.
