Ugh, I hate games where the main character dies at the end.
Reach bro, everyone knows the Spartans die off you pick up that info in the very first halo game.
Looks generic and incredibly cheesy.
Didn't the last 3?
At least Bungie know when to stop a game series
Everything went downhill since combat evolved.
Didn't the last 3?
Has always been like that with Halo, for me anyway.
The story isn't exactly the pinnacle of originality... a lot of people seem to like it though.
I dont see where all this talk about it going downhill came from.
Dual wielding, swords, better graphics. Seems to me like everything about halo just got better and better into Halo 3, after Halo 3 it started getting bad. The SP doesnt matter much as Im talking MP.

I just think it's tacky because I think anything with green beams shooting out of a weapon is tacky. I don't give a shit about the storyline.
Spoilers...
I ruined it for myself :frown:

Halo Combat Evolved man, or Halo 2, hell even Halo 3. The entire main trilogy is all about that. Well it is kind of atleast.

Your more or less delaying the inevitable in all three.

Halo 3 ended with a derp though, Everyone becomes happy little tree hugging friends and goes about their merry way. Did not like it, I wanted more Michael bay asplosions.
I enjoyed my time in the beta, but if I bought the game I would get bored and trade it in after I completed it, reguardless of the online. So I decided not to get it.
Oh god that sounded crazy.
Ts;du (Too silly; didnt understand): I would be bored with the multiplayer and just buy the game for the singleplayer.

Same here, Humanity is left at a population of 300 million or less (based on Guilty Spark's calculations) our interstellar empire glassed and destroyed. Billions of civilians and soldiers slaughtered like cockroaches, and we're supposed to skip into the sunshine with the very aliens that gleefully partook in all of it?
I remember reading somewhere that, at the rate of Humanity's technological advancements, we'd have been able to surpass Covenant technology within 8 years, or at least develop the means to effectively combat it.

God i hate dipshits like you, "Oh you look like a nerd so you obviously like Halo" (No offence intended to the guy in the picture)
Get the fuck out if you think like that, i like Halo 1, Halo 2 wasn't bad, Halo 3 was alright but not the best, ODST was shit and Reach will be better than the rest apart from Halo 1.
Now go on my Facebook profile and look at my photos, the only one of me and tell me, i obviously would like Halo.

300 million? Thats quite a small number from the 20+ billion people spread across countless systems.

I was surprised by that number as well, but it was the "official" number listed by 343 Guilty Spark in one of the extra content DVD's for the Halo 3 Legendary Edition. At first I thought he was just a fallible commentator, but then I noticed his listings of the Elite and Brute populations (amongst every other race) sounded pretty accurate.
The Halo Wiki says the total amount of Human deaths in the Covenant-Human war was 27 billion.

That just makes the Halo 3 ending even dumber, I mean shit what person in their right mind would go and forgive an alien race for killing off all those people?
I cant even see a space faring civilization surviving with such low numbers and being spread out across different planets.
The Halo Ending, by Sander Cohen.

Well at that point in the war the only thing Humanity could do was accept peace, or else face extinction, I think the Admiral actually said, "We can never forgive you for what you've done, but we can thank you" or something to that regard.
Technically.. Only the Elites and any of their troops still remained of the Covenant, and they'd been working together since the end of Halo 2. The rest of the forces either died, wandered/ran off, or merged with what was left of the forces led by the Arbiter. Not to mention the Covenant was a forcefully-united army/society of various alien races.
Still a hammy ending though.
I though the opening cutscene was [sp]Noble Six's helmet with a bullethole[/sp]
I swear I've heard that rumor.

Ah I havent touched Halo 3 in over a year since i played it with a friend, guess I forgot about that. I always wondered why the whole thing started in the first place, never played wars or any of that nonsense so if they mentioned it I missed it.
and then halo becomes mass effect
Atleast noble took about 10 elites down at the end.
That's a pretty boring ending dude.
and its gone
