I am slightly saddened at how units have less people in them. But, I think its cool that monuments have to take up their own tile.
I was hoping they'd go for more numerous, smaller units in actual formation, like the RED Modpack: [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/939249452214474254/DA904CC5F6775F7CED83D32E7BA215A9AECFE6BD/[/t]
[t]http://i.imgur.com/ewfL3Dh.jpg[/t] compared to [t]http://i.imgur.com/eD1O1sJ.png[/t] civ 5 can get really busy and muddy as well as extremely crowded later on. its not 'timeless' by any stretch, it was dated when it came out, and doesnt look good at all compared to civ 6, which brings out everything very clearly.
To be honest I don't really see a problem there. Of course the later portions of the game will have all kinds of things going on at once, but in the civ v screenshot you can also very clearly see what is going on in what tile at a glance, they are visually distinct enough. It's a matter of preference in the end. I'd like to add that sure, the new style looks really nice visually but I don't find it fitting for the grand schemes of a civilization game. It's almost as if you're playing with toys instead of commanding armies and scheming with and against leaders of other empires.
I like the look of 6 generally but 5 has a much sleeker interface no doubt the hellenistic style was ace
i wonder when sean bean's narrator will die furthermore, who takes over?
David Wenham
I like the look of 6 generally but 5 has a much sleeker interface no doubt the hellenistic style was ace
The age of exploration look feels too ahead of the era in the early game we've seen, and come modern era it will look old fashioned. I wish the style could change with the era.
I am slightly saddened at how units have less people in them. IIRC you can have up to 3 units of the same type combined together, so I hope that makes the units look less sparse.
Here's hoping that the multiplayer doesn't shit itself like it does in Civ 5 when playing with AI

I can't tell if there is actually going to be a day/night cycle, or if that's just the new effect for ending turns. Anyway, the fog of war being a drawn map is really fucking cool.
Sean Bean didn't die in the demo, kinda disappointed.
it isnt really timeless when you zoom in and see how low quality everything is. [t]http://i.imgur.com/N5AA9Ao.jpg[/t] and yes, it is intentionally cartoony, to show off everything easily and clearly.
yeah except no one zooms in that far. Also this isn't a game that is meant to have amazing graphics so low quality stuff helps potato computers.
