i have no idea what waltzing matilda is, and i thought it was english
Australian song about somebody who fought at Gallipoli. An iconic Australian song.
Here's a wikipedia page if you're really bored or interested.

Apparently, Waltzing Matilda is also a common Australian song.
I only knew the phrase from Tom Traubert's Blues.
should be our national anthem

It's about a guy who stole a sheep and when he was caught committed suicide. Well, the wikipedia page says it's about a striking worker, but the lyrics refer to a stolen sheep.
It was written before Gallipoli.

On that note almost all historical Australian iconic heroes were criminals. Ned Kelly was basically a bandit, Simpson from Simpson and his donkey actually used to be in the navy and jumped ship which was illegal, Waltzing Matilda is about a guy who steals sheep.
I'm not sure if this is funny but I'm laughing anyway.
I don't know if i should be happy that these people got banned, or the mods didn't know how to take a joke?
Meh, I'd rather not see that joke ruined.
anyways jim how you doin

That's probably because the country used to be a British prison colony, aside from Aboriginals, an unusually large amount of its population were convicts.

Going overboard is what makes him funny.
Black and California were my favorites. I wish he'd stop doing the repeating so much though. It was funny at first but now it just seems like a cop-out to be less creative.

Yeah, it kinda loses its flavor after seeing the same 3 seconds repeat over 500 times. It's funny as shit in small doses.
