I'd totally hang out with those two comedians and really have no idea what they're saying but I think it'd be fun
to be honest i'm a tidbit sick of how facepunch has set the idea that japan is 100% some kind of weird and wonderful paradise for weird shit and anime set in stone. a country like no other filled with people like no other. it doesn't happen so much with any other country for whatever reason. maybe because a huge portion of facepunch is borderline obsessed with the bloody country
bullshit, go to fast anime and see how far that sort of attitude gets you
look at any sensationalist headlines thread that has 'japan creates/invents/does x'. you will quickly notice what i mean 'haha what will those crazy japs do next???'
To be fair Japan does produce some crazy shit. Maybe it just gets reported more often.
bullshit, go to fast anime and see how far that sort of attitude gets you
huh? they do not account for the general FP populous lol.
I almost felt a little bad for him.
bullshit, go to fast anime and see how far that sort of attitude gets you
actually i see that kind of attitude perpetuated all the time. any time someone with a jp flag posts fast anime goes nuts
Oh god they're absolutely ruthless
most Japanese people are xenophobic
If you go to Japan and expect an experience based on what you learned from anime, you're gonna have a bad time

I have a feeling they invent that kind of stuff because Tokyo is a cramped depressing place to live with their younger generation having a below average interest in sex
If you go to Japan and expect an experience based on what you learned from anime, you're gonna have a bad time
you mean there aren't tentacle monsters and sexy schoolgirls everywhere???
Tatami is ridiculed in japan nowadays? Shame, it seems like great flooring material.

Lost it when they asked him what country he was from and when he said "America", in subtitles it said "the land of the free and the home of the brave".

The funny thing is, this subculture in Japan was big enough for it to be used for a character in the Phoenix Wright series.
most Japanese people are xenophobic
It's quite literally part of their culture considering that they were extremely isolationist for about a quarter of their countries history.
what if i want to go to japan for the arcades
Yeah I thought Japan was going to be great for that asian megacity feel but then I ended up liking Hong Kong a lot more
HK is probably way better since a lot of people have some grasp on english and they're not all xenophobic assholes when it comes to foreigners.

well at least knowing how to wrangle cattle is a lot more useful than knowing how to stay up 48 hours straight watching cartoon schoolgirls make weird gibberish noises
well at least knowing how to wrangle cattle is a lot more useful than knowing how to stay up 48 hours straight watching cartoon schoolgirls make weird gibberish noises
hey man i cannot tell you how many kidnappings i have escaped by challenging my captor to a lucky star marathon and run away when they fall asleep/commit acts of self-harm.
HK is probably way better since a lot of people have some grasp on english and they're not all xenophobic assholes when it comes to foreigners.
Mainland Chinese are generally very cool too, a few girls in Hangzhou wanted their photo with me Which isn't new because I had creepy Chinese tourists snap me in the London Underground
Hell japan even hates Japanese people who weren't born in Japan.
The funny thing is, this subculture in Japan was big enough for it to be used for a character in the Phoenix Wright series.
nah its a pretty small thing but it is so outlandish that it gets a fair amount of media coverage. same goes for the subsect that is really into 50s rock and roll culture
they also hate the survivors of both Hiroshima and Nagasaki due to misunderstandings of what radiation does.
they also hate the survivors of both Hiroshima and Nagasaki due to misunderstandings of what radiation does.
this sounds incredibly far fetched
they also hate the survivors of both Hiroshima and Nagasaki due to misunderstandings of what radiation does.
That sounds pretty heavy
this sounds incredibly far fetched

Hibakusha and their children were (and still are) victims of severe discrimination due to public ignorance about the consequences of radiation sickness, with much of the public believing it to be hereditary or even contagious. This is despite the fact that no statistically demonstrable increase of birth defects/congenital malformations was found among the later conceived children born to survivors of the nuclear weapons used at Hiroshima and Nagasaki, or found in the later conceived children of cancer survivors who had previously received radiotherapy. The surviving women of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, that could conceive, who were exposed to substantial amounts of radiation, went on and had children with no higher incidence of abnormalities/birth defects than the rate which is observed in the Japanese average. Reminds me of this video I saw following a fat canadian neckbeard trying to walk the length of Japan. All he did was eat then hurt his foot and go home after three days.
My Japanese family lives in the area around Hiroshima
you are incredibly ignorant considering that fact, to say they "hate" those people when the reality is they are simply afraid due to ignorance and lack of education surrounding the effects of fallout and the atomic bomb in general.
You know it's bad when even the Japanese are calling you a weeaboo
