I don't think that was supposed to be secret. From what I've heard, the big "sucker punch" in the end is supposed to do with her choosing to stay inside her head and allow the lobotomy.

Yes. Dawn of the Dead has a nice story.
It's not anything groundbreaking, but it makes sense and is interesting from beginning to end.

SuckerPunch the movie overall is a complete shit, but I did liked the fighting scene with the samurais.
The music is fucking horrible.
