Donnie Yen ?!? holy shit yes.
I'm glad they're still using IRL weapons to make blasters out of. [editline]15th July 2016[/editline] There is going to be a new trailer tonight on ABC.
Real life guns with sci fi shit slapped onto it is classic Star Wars aesthetic.
Still kinda bummed that there's a dude who looks kinda like Kyle Katarn, is dressed kinda like Kyle Katarn, has a similar role to Kyle Katarn, yet he isnt Kyle Katarn. I get they want all new characters and stories, but the selfishness inside me wants my favorite fictional character back in cannon.
You know what's funny is as a normal person I have no idea who the fuck Kyle Katarn is so if they named him that it still would've been a new character to me. [editline]16th July 2016[/editline] This movie looks really fucking cool. I want them to make a Starwars Republic Commando so fucking bad though. Literally make it Zero-Dark Thirty but with Republic Commandos instead of seals. Just going around doing crazy feats of tactical magic. Like 13 Hours levels of intensity. [editline]16th July 2016[/editline]
[t]http://i.imgur.com/SAFgDad.png[/t] this helm looks cool af
It looks like that piece above the eyes can be lowered like a blast shield or has a HUD in it or something. I bet that would look cool. Vehicle Crewmen are neato.
Will we be getting Tarkin? That dude was the original badass of Star Wars alongside Vader.
Will we be getting Tarkin? That dude was the original badass of Star Wars alongside Vader.
in the new canon Tarkin is part of the project, he was assigned to that region of space to overlook it or something.
Tarkin will be CGI though.
Wasn't this just a rumor?
;50717641']Everything looks great to me except the tone. Episode 7 did a good job because unlike the prequel trilogy, it understood that Star Wars is a space opera that has its lighthearted and comedic moments. This movie seems to take itself and the universe too seriously. If it can pull off a serious action-packed attempt then I guess I won't complain
I think this works more for a standalone movie though, typically Star Wars has been about family drama and legacy which I don't think works that well for self contained story. As long as they keep the other core principles of the OT I think it should be good.
Wasn't this just a rumor?
I think it's more a jab at how his face was CGI in Ep III.
Pretty excited, looks like it's mostly going to be guys with blasters and fighters fighting guys with blasters and fighters. Was the part of the movies I loved as a kid. Hoth, Endor, and hell, Geonosis were my favorite parts of the movies when I was a kid, seeing stormtroopers and rebels or clones and droids slug it out in a future conventional war was cool as hell, way cooler than the sword fights.
I think it's more a jab at how his face was CGI in Ep III.
It wasn't. [editline]17th July 2016[/editline] Also that is Wayne Pygram, who played Scorpius in FarScape :v:
Those exaggerated cheekbones made me think it was CGI, I didn't think they'd bother with prosthetics for a 3 second shot. [thumb]http://www.jeditemplearchives.com/galleries/2012/Review_TarkinROTS/Review_TarkinROTS_stillB.jpg[/thumb] [editline]a[/editline] Those are prosthetics, right?
I'm assuming, don't remember his cheeks being that big in Farscape. But the trivia I'm reading was that they chose Pygram because he had an uncanny resemblance to Cushing. [editline]17th July 2016[/editline] Yeah must be https://www.google.com/search?q=Wayne+Pygram&newwindow=1&biw=1920&bih=955&stick=H4sIAAAAAAAAAOPgE-LWT9c3NDIozzFOKVHi1M_VNzDNzrVM0jLJTrbST8tMLsnMz0vMiS_NyyxLLSpORRJKzkgsSkwuSS2yKshJrExNUUiqBAD-yFrOUAAAAA&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiasoCe4PnNAhWBzIMKHQ_GA34Q_AUIBigB [editline]17th July 2016[/editline] Cushing did have some pretty big cheekbones [t]http://img.lum.dolimg.com/v1/images/Tarkin-3@2x_16f7b5db.jpeg?region=0%2C0%2C1200%2C800[/t]
