It's like he's wearing nothing at all. Nothing at all. Nothing at all.
That was a good read. Never really realized how much Fallout 3's story sucked ass. I just kind of went along the story just because I liked the gameplay but yeah shit is pretty nonsensical.
This is an interesting read, but a big question this article seems to keep posing is "WHY are the factions at war with each other over a common goal". It's made clear in the game that they have serious ideological differences that they're willing to die for, and so gaining control of the Water Purifier is gaining control of the wasteland. Clean water everywhere would no longer make the world desolate like it already was. Not the best reason, but it IS a reason.
http://imgur.com/a/Wj4dm Ultra settings screenshots. A lot of the textures looks really bad tbh but that never prevented me putting 100+ hours into Fallout 3 and more into NV
Eh, there's some pretty muddy textures in here, but it doesn't look offensive. I didn't get seeing the videos, so I can't comment on the animations, but visually the game looks fine. I don't even like the modern iterations of the Fallout games, but I can't see the visuals being a valid point to knock. Obviously with games we want graphics to be pushed with new titles - I'm not big on graphics, but I recognise the importance of pushing the tech boundaries; however, I think given the scope of the FO games, there's going to be some concessions. I'm sure fans of the modern games will be happy. Personally, Bethesda games aren't my thing. I'll wait for it to go on sale if the reviews are good a year down the line, but definitely the visuals are acceptable for the type of game and comparative visuals of other titles.
I'm guessing these images were deleted? And from what I've heard of most opinions on them they were console screenshots anyways.

Infact, it's placed in the basin which is fed by seawater. Like, if you know the actual area of Washington DC...using the fucking memoiral has to be one of the weirdest decisions besides, "Its made of shiney white bricks".
From the Fallout thread:
PS4 [t]http://i.imgur.com/hknq2Vo.jpg[/t] PC [t]http://i.imgur.com/sVbH0Cq.jpg[/t] E3 [t]http://i.imgur.com/04SmI9s.png[/t]
I can't really compare the E3 to PC because of the angle but it feels like there was a downgrade from E3 to PC. But my negativity is obviously biasing me(not sarcasm) and the angles are different.
That's some really nice view distance on the PC version.
Yeah it is. Hopefully they did oversell the specs.
the environment looks exactly the same between E3 and final PC thanks 'thesdy

idk if it was posted but: settlement gameplay (spoilers obvi) https://vid.me/lqvt The commentary :v: I only watched first 30 sec because the settlement gameplay is one of the main aspects im interested in.
This probably sounds weird, but the reason I'm interested in the settlement building is the implications for pathfinding. Does it mean they now have a system which can respond nicely to custom-built structures like that? That would be a great addition to the engine. Surely they wouldn't be okay with your followers being unable to navigate your settlement and just running against the walls. ...Right?
I guess there's no mirrors

It's mostly stuff that in the span of 200 years after the bombs dropped should be fixed by then. It really bothers me. New vegas at least shows a lot of settlements that are clean, have stuff like textiles that have been dyed, custom creafted stuff from non-scrap etc. Fallout3 is pretty much "oh the bombs dropped? Everything will look like they dropped a month ago for the rest of time then"
I wonder if fo3 would've fared better with some tweaks to make it like really close to after everything got nuked, like even before FO1
Don't worry about it people on both sides have just been flinging shit for a while now. It's a shame, every time a big release comes up every time it gets brought up, it turns into a fucking shitshow.
But what other conclusion would you arrive at? FO3's story is fucking ridiculous, like 5th grade fanfiction "and then DAD WAS SUPERMUTANTS AND DAN WAS BOOBIES" bad. Unlike ME3, you don't have any cool bros and a semi decent setting to make up for that. Everyone in vanilla FO3's world is an inexplicable mouthbreathing idiot, and there's no compelling reason for things to be that way. What universally appeals and works about Beth games is you can make and find reasons to waste time. There's always something to do, even if the reason you're actually doing it is dumb as hell if you bother to think about it. FO4 has even more reasons to waste time and now even allows you to make your own reasons to waste time. But there's no reasons given yet to think the story is going to be any better or actually make any kind of sense this time, and anyone who picks up on that has an entirely legit reason to complain, because Beth themselves are the ones saying their ->story<- is so good, they don't want to spoil any of it. Do you have any reason to think it's above criticizing, cause I personally haven't seen any.
Seems like it's gonna be retarded beth-quality again, in a stream i watched (I assume it was early in the game so early game spoilers)[sp]some old drugged up junkie gypsie said some bullshit about his destiny and how she knew his child was alive and said to go to some city, and the quest literally makes you go to that city, and everyone believes her[/sp] Unless it turns out to be wrong and they go a different direction it's sounding like that Bethesda™ quality we all yearn for.
[sp]child[/sp]
God damn it, I knew this child will inevitably be important. Fucking Beth, there can be more motivations for characters to do something other than "dad" or "child".
you jizz in a woman [sp]and then 200 years later you have to find the thing that popped out of her snatch[/sp]
Do you have any reason to think it's above criticizing, cause I personally haven't seen any.
What makes you think I think that? When did I say the game's above criticism? When did I imply the that I don't have my own issues with it? All I said was that people defending it and the people criticizing it more often then not express it in the most unnecessarily confrontational shit-showy ways possible. Every time an anticipated game comes closer to release, it's becomes harder to filter the genuine criticisms through the noise of hyperbolic shit-talk.
[sp]God damn it, I knew this child will inevitably be important. [sp]I mean, it was pretty damned obvious from that very first footage they showed at E3 it was going to be about the child. Why else would it have been there? Why would it be generated based off how you designed the characters? It was literally Chekov's child.[/sp]
10 minute vid of going from one side of the wasteland to the other. Quality is pretty crap, but still kinda cool to look at. [vid]http://webm.land/media/tmp/a5640088-1e8f-423c-82bf-6d6b64748b1c.webm[/vid]

If you wanna spoil yourself, here is a potato playing the PC version live. It's cringe though, the guy is so bad, hes been running around with 8hp for the last hour and wont heal. http://streamcountry.com/hatenewspapers/
