ANYWAY! i had a pony avatar a while back and posted normally. even tried to stop fights about ponies, in non-pony threads, i guess if the fan base was more like that, we would still be allowed to have a pony thread, but didn't they say we could come back once season two started?

Yeah. It's kind of dumb to ban pony threads when we have dragon megathreads that often has porn in them.
What's the real difference? Liking dragons and liking ponies. I would guess that it's that "bronies" rub my little pony in peoples' faces and the dragon thread doesn't. Just don't look at it if you don't like it.

as a fan, i agree with you, but before i liked the show, and i'll be the first to admit.. i HATED seeing the my little pony megathread as #1 in the popular threads list. (now of course i am a massive fan)
and it's hard to 'not see' pony pictures posted in the LMAO threads

That's exactly what I did before I started watching it. But it's just a thread and the forum is big enough for one pony thread compared to a series of 12 dragon megathreads.

When you step back from it all, you realize it's just two groups of college kids and teenagers getting unbearably upset with one another over a show that wasn't designed for their demographic anyway.
To the outsider it's the equivalent of arguing about the worth of the Powerpuff Girls or the Winx Club (depending on how highly you respect the show). I'm just glad that I have the ability to make everyone laugh at both sides through stuff like the Simulator Simulator.

Being honest, I haven't met a single fan of MLP that has annoyed the hell out of me. (Perhaps with the exception of BWO Josh who ending up posting it to troll, and Pnukup's avatar)
I have however met a very large number of highly irritating "Anti fans", namely people such as Wootman who couldn't be reasoned with in any way shape or form.
I try and stay neutral on this sort of thing, but the people who dislike the show with a fiery passion really aren't putting out any good points besides their main argument of "All MLP fans are ragingly autistic faggots" against the fan's reasonable argument of "live and let live"
