Wow this was fucking terrible. Does he really expect to make money off animating if it takes him this long to make something so simple and unfunny? I mean his animation and art-style are really good don't get me wrong, but I don't see how it would take this long to make such a simple video animation aside. There are other animators on youtube who can make way funnier shit and still have the same quality of animation and it wouldn't take them this long. Is he really busy or something?

I hate to say it, being a long time fan of Arin's, but this honestly didn't make me laugh at all. It could just be that there was some big over-arching joke that just flew over my head after watching it a couple times, but the tonal shift from his older work and the "punchline" at the end failing to reach me just kinda lost me. It doesn't seem like the past years worth of time was worth a 2 minute long bland and overall pointless bit of animation, I can appreciate the art itself aside from the movement seeming kinda stiff, but I'm not sure what to call this besides a fall from grace. GG kinda changed a lot of my opinion's about Arin and Jon in general, and I'm not sure I like what I saw there. I know I didn't like what I saw here, at least. This isn't to be a dick or anything but this was by the best description: eh..
He ran out of his humor on GameGrumps and forgot to refill it. Jon's humor style could have also influenced his humor style up to the point of him being uncertain of how to deal with it. Or it could have simply turned out to be a bad example of his work for one reason or another.
I think it would have been way better if it ended at 1:24

It is not impossible that GameGrumps had a negative impact on their creativity in one way or another.

The problem? It wasn't very good, and it took eight months because he put a ton of effort into it. Therefore the backlash is going to be a hell of a lot bigger than it normally would be.

They appear to heavily require significantly more spaced out episodes, especially considering the fact that they would be making more than enough money from them regardless. To many degrees, their ridiculously unbroken regularity is probably running both of them into the ground. No matter how good the intentions of a show initially are, doing it without any breaks will eventually make it start "decomposing" itself.
It is also important to keep in mind that they currently have absolutely no benchmarks or quality control whatsoever, they are literally talking about the most random possible bullshit which is OCCASIONALLY interesting or funny, and to have high quality random unfiltered bullshit, reasonable breaks and recharge times are required.

He hyped it up and delivered subpar art, and a bad joke with bad animations. It took him months for no other reason then it was easier to sit back and make game grumps which fan or not takes literally no effort and is only popular because Ego and Jon are in it. They offer nothing new or original in commentary, they don't have to do any research or anything. They have literally uploaded a video of a Japanese game that they didn't understand and spent 10-15 minutes just walking around making awful jokes I'd expect from Pewdiepie.
Then when a hyped up video comes out and it's as bad as this is, I think it's fair play to say Game Grumps can be tied to it when he knows people will watch and defend anything.

I saw a post giving legit criticism, talking about how as a animation it's pretty choppy and how the ending wasn't that good. It wasn't calling Arin a faglord or anything extreme.

I started watching GameGrumps because I expected some type of a clever live show blend of their humors, and it initially genuinely was that way, but then started steadily transforming into a pretty standard "playthrough/ramble bullshitter." And while it may not necessarily be a bad thing, they still require breaks to even keep up with the standard ramble bullshitter quality standard.
