three things that microsoft has completely stopped production on how fucking high are you
Microsoft completely stopped production on the original Xbox 360, but I don't see anyone calling out Dunkey for criticizing them for it.
I'd rather get a Surface tablet than an iPad because I can actually run useful shit like the Adobe programs. Drawing stuff on it is a lot better too. Also the app issues are probably the app devs fault.
Except there is like zero choice in apps, so if an app is shit then you just have to deal with it. It's not fair for me to criticize them for that, so I should also point out that they keep trying to promote that gimicky keyboard like lmao just get one of those laptops that can turn into a tablet for cheaper.
Get a laptop that can turn into a tablet - the Surface Book? You left out the Surface Pro series? Have you seen what they've come out with today?
You mean the Laptop that is inferior to Macbooks and other Ultrabooks of the same price or less, the even more expensive tablet, and the phone with the shit OS and lack of choice in apps?
Surface tablets are badass, what are you talking about?

Makes a pretty big difference in value. You keep talking about the lack of apps, but what about programs, games & compatibility?
Does your Mac have a touch screen? Makes a pretty big difference in value. What about all the Windows programs & compatibility?
Great work pointing out that I'm using a computer that runs OSX, but all of my arguments still stand. I don't see why laptops need touch screens unless they're one of those laptop/tablet hybrids.
I don't see why laptops need touch screens unless they're one of those laptop/tablet hybrids.
Well, it is? :glare:
Well, it is? :glare:
Right, except I never criticized it for its touchscreen; I was addressing your comment about Macs not having touch screens.
Dammit, I miss the Resistance 2 Multiplayer now.
Microsoft in general is a shit company that no one should take seriously. Their hardware is unbelievable terrible. It wasn't "wow, put this on your desktop" it was "wow, isn't this much easier to carry around?" That keyboard looks... Plain. Like yeah it doesn't look great but it doesn't look unbelievably terrible. And... Did you try to put the Surface under their "unbelievabley terrible hardware?" The product line that got raving reviews and made Apple a laughing stock when they revealed the iPad Pro and Pencil?
Right, except I never criticized it for its touchscreen; I was addressing your comment about Macs not having touch screens.
Because you said that MacBooks have more value for a lower price.
Right, except I never criticized it for its touchscreen; I was addressing your comment about Macs not having touch screens.
The Macbook Pro 13-inch with Retina is only a laptop, strictly. The Surface Book is a laptop/tablet hybrid, thus superior, and also justifying the price. It also has a higher resolution/pixels per inch, moreso justifying the price. Unless that fancy touch screen of yours is worth $400 to you, I'm going to say that Macbooks have "more value for a lower price" EDIT: I don't really like tablets so I'm not really going to defend the iPad.
Jokes aside, it's a shit argument. We're shitting on apple and praising microsoft while using windows, you don't think we might be considered a bit biased?
I am absolutely biased towards windows but I still think microsoft releases a lot of shit. last time i tried to use a mac i couldn't even turn it on.

A laplet wouldn't be very useful without it either. That's the appeal in this hardware, professional.

And I'd imagine having the touchscreen, gorilla glass and the hinge assembly would be worth the $400 more. Oh and it comes with the surface pen so there goes $50. Try looking at the bigger picture next time.
And we're saying they don't, because of the higher resolution and touch screen functionality, amongsts other features that justify the higher price.
Also has a dedicated graphics card, not intel graphics
Also has a dedicated graphics card, not intel graphics
Well to be fair, the Surface Book version with the dedicated GPU starts at $1,899.00. You can't even get a dedicated GPU at all on a 13 inch MacBook Pro unless you go for the 15 inch model, which starts at $2499.

The only thing the iPad even has going for it anymore now that the surface exists is being slightly cheaper I guess? Seriously tho have you lost it, surfaces are amazing [editline]oh yikes[/editline]
The starting price for a Macbook Pro is $1100, while the starting price for a Surface Book is $1500. Unless that fancy touch screen of yours is worth $400 to you, I'm going to say that Macbooks have "more value for a lower price"
I'm sort of betting that lost cause is an understatement at this point but for the record, it's not like the specs are equivalent touchscreen aside and as far as I can tell (you're talking US prices here, so I double checked) the macbook pro actually starts at $1300? So there's a $200 price difference actually, and aside from the all around better specs there's also the fact that it has a detachable touch/pen screen. So yeah, no, you're getting way more value with the Microsoft offering although I wouldn't really buy either myself. I'm an engineer, not an artist, so the portability/looks/art functionality is not as appealing as laptops that offer vastly superior hardware to either of them.
I'm not trying to be contrarian, but I STILL have my original, release-day Xbox 360. It runs a bit slow (nearly TEN YEARS LATER, I've had computers newer than that that have broken down). I've never ran into the RRoD, nor did any of my close friends with 360s. I'm not denying the stats (because boy, were they there), but Dunkey presented an extreme case. My best friend went through an extremely similar case, except with Sony and PS2s. It went down year over year from the original release of the PS2 through the release of the second slim model, breaking down a couple months before the year warranty was up. Some people have shit luck, it's not a reason to shit on the company. [sp]Still a funny video, though.[/sp]
I had two different, newly bought xbox360s RRoD on me. I'm not sure if its about having "shit luck" I'm pretty sure the rate of failure is backed up by legit statistics.
This was funny as hell until he mentioned GFWL. I fell into a dark place because of GFWL.
nah dunkey trashes on people worse than them so it balances it out [t]http://i.imgur.com/i6ryWDe.png[/t]
I leave my machinima contract in like 5 days :D It's exciting.
Microsoft in general is a shit company that no one should take seriously. Their hardware is unbelievable terrible. See:
No, their hardware is great. I've got a Surface 3, which is hands-down the best hybrid device I've ever owned, with a respectably fast quad-core Atom, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The tablet alone cost $600, and yes, the price did skyrocket with the keyboard and pen, but $750 for a keyboard and pen with a fully X86-enabled PC is a price point that the iPad pro and MacBook line can't touch. Hardware problems like the RROD's cause in the original 360 are something that simply cannot be detected by any sort of QA. Microsoft has a lot of branches that try out some crazier things, which is where stuff like the Wedge mouse come from.
