That was an extremely interesting watch. Makes you think about taking chances.
A while ago Derren Brown's pick-pocketing video got posted and I ended up watching around 70% of his work.
I might recommend Hero at 30,000 feet, for those of you who've not seen it:

I'll extend my recommendation to all of The Experiments, though The Guilt Trip is another great one:

£1000 was his life savings?
Don't you make that in a month?

He's a butcher in a small rural town.
How many people are going to want to buy meat in a day in a village that small? He's got a family to provide for and more-than-likely lives his life not on material merit; many people only have £1000 as their life savings. It doesn't make any difference what the amount is, if they're his life savings -then the figure means nothing compared to how moving it is that he actually sacrificed it to better himself as a man.
I swear to god I saw Derren Brown on the screen at the olympics. Not sure if it was a stunt or a teaser for his upcoming show.
it was on the screens in the Velodrome during the cyclists racing thing, just before an event started he flashed up on the screen and winked. The cameras didn't focus on it and nobody mentioned it, I saw it in the background as one of the BBC commentators was talking. Honestly not sure what to think of it all but I supposed we'll find out soon.

Channel 4 are cunts.
The first part reminds me of this experiment they did on people, where it's a room full of people in on the joke, and one person doesn't know what it is.
They all look at the same picture, which is three different lines, all of different lengths.
They are all asked one by one which line is the longest, and everyone gives the same answer, except that they are all wrong.
When it comes to the one person who isn't in the know of the experiment, they say the same wrong answer as everyone else, as to not deviate from the crowd.
People will just lie to go along with what everyone else is doing, and to not disturb that flow.
I think I'll actually try this, be alot more open to opportunities and such.

I can't recall for how many times I've done that.
Also this made me realize I should take all the opportunities that come my way from now on. Even opportunities that I have to put an effort into. I'm looking back at some of the good things that have happened to me and they're usually branching off of an opportunity I took. One of the opportunities was when my uncle asked if I could deliver a statue he sold to an old lady, so I did, and for doing it I got $20 as a tip from her.
no lie i got a lil teary at the end fuck that was too good
I want to make a point and say if there was ever a message in the whole episode he did not take it. Take opportunities while you have them yes?
Well if he decided to take his 1000 back and say in front of everyone there, infront of Derren Brown, and on TV that he will give back the 5k for donations to the same cause as Brown mentioned earlier he would of had a lot of other opportunities like news reporters and such... and since it is a small town when they all know how generous he is they have a better look at him instead of the guy who won 6k. Usually in videos like this the ending is usually what I stated, so when I saw he won I was really expecting it... I know I would of done it, or at least even half.
