And Adventure Time and Regular Show (especially Regular Show) are filled with adult-oriented jokes but the show remains APPROPRIATE for kids. Regular Show was even supposed to be on Adult Swim MLP:FiM is from 2010 and the people that like MLP now probably hated it as a kid.
