But graphics aren't the same as destruction. Graphics is just a thing you can flip on or off at any point and it doesn't make a very big impact on anything. Taking out destruction would mean they'd pretty much have to redesign the entire game and all gameplay mechanics.
they would probably make it so you can only use breaching charges and wall charges at predetermined points and make the door destruction more simplified. [editline]28th July 2014[/editline]
Why is it Raven Shield vs Rogue Spear, what happened to the terrorist looking dudes?
I would assume it's placeholder names to give old fans of Tom Clancy games a nice reference. They could claim that the whole scenario is just a training exercise between 2 counter terrorism teams.
lol, at 6:13 you see the guy barricading bug the fuck out and the camera guy stares at the wall so we don't see it
Or we could look at BF3 where they had destruction all primed and ready to go and then dumbed it down to oblivion
That wasn't the main focus of the gameplay though.
Interesting stocks on those MP5's, I presume they're lowered so you can keep the weapon shouldered and sighted in while wearing those helmets?
Why are both teams (the players) in the same room? Can't they hear each other super easily?
It's obviously fixed to show out the game, it looks okay. But them playing with a controller on PC is just really dumb.
With all these varied possibilities I really hope they manage to find the right balance to make sure people don't theory craft the absolute best strategy for all maps that everybody will end up using. That would ruin the game's potential so much.
Oh wow, it looks like CS, with actual tactics. That's pretty fucking awesome!
It's obviously fixed to show out the game, it looks okay. But them playing with a controller on PC is just really dumb.
my guess is they have sound-cancelling headphones
lol, at 6:13 you see the guy barricading bug the fuck out and the camera guy stares at the wall so we don't see it
I think he gets shot just as the animation starts, immediately after the barricade is up the guy's on the floor and needs to be revived :v:
Hope they make the shield useful in here It absolutely sucks in Vegas 2
I'm gonna play some Raven Shield :)
That would mean they'd just throw away a whole bunch of money they spend making this game. There's a 0% chance that destruction is going to removed.
Totally possible they made one map with a shitload of destruction elements and they're planning on downgrading it later on, you never know for sure. I don't expect them to do it because generally speaking destruction elements aren't an issue as far as performance goes (at least it's not on the new gen), but considering watchdogs was made to look tremendously worse on PC I wouldn't rule it out.
Looks great, but a little clunky compared to the E3 demo. Hopefully that's just the consoles
just watched the e3 demo at the end and wow it is so cringey
I really hope for the return of Las Vegas maps.
This game would probably be perfect for custom map support, but it'll never happen.
Yeah, they're totally going to just remove the main mechanic of the game.
The way Ubisoft talked about Watch_Dogs™ you'd think its main feature was graphics and they were still great but they still neutered them on PC for no apparent reason.
Imagining this on a large multistory office building map is making me a little hard.
The way Ubisoft talked about Watch_Dogs™ you'd think its main feature was graphics and they were still great but they still neutered them on PC for no apparent reason.
I still don't think you guys really grasp the difference between pretty visual effects and desctruction on the scale they've shown off so far.
Imagining this on a large multistory office building map is making me a little hard.
Have some guys helicoptered on top while a ground team advances from the bottom. Legit.
It would be interesting if the size of a map determined the player count. So the house assault would only be a 5 on 5 but an office building level would be a 10 on 10 or something. Of course the more people you have on a map the more chaotic (and harder to plan) it would be.
I still don't think you guys really grasp the difference between pretty visual effects and desctruction on the scale they've shown off so far.
Yes one is graphics and one is game mechanics, what I was pointing out is that I'm not sure Ubisoft care about the difference at this point.
Interesting stocks on those MP5's, I presume they're lowered so you can keep the weapon shouldered and sighted in while wearing those helmets?
those are B&T visor stocks Israel and Russia also make their own variants for their rifles iirc. Russia especially since they're visor happy over there.
Yes one is graphics and one is game mechanics, what I was pointing out is that I'm not sure Ubisoft care about the difference at this point.
They should care considering if they decide to remove it most of the game would have to be redesigned, which would cost a lot of money.
Anyone would mind extracting that MP5 folding helmet stock made by B&T? So I could implement it into my game, it looks hawt...
