I have arachnophobia and I understand what those people are going through. I've learned to control myself. But even then, every time I see a spider I have a panic attack for a second, then I remember it's not going to hurt me. Although I am allergic to them too, so don't think playing with them would be a good idea.
I love going to the zoo and look at tarantulas and stuff. I can feel all my muscles contracting and getting ready to run full speed. Kind of amazing really.

I remember actually falling out of my chair and running out of my class in elementary cause of someone put a picture of a tarantula right up too my face I'm still scared as fuck when seeing a spider.

also, fuck bees, that is a legitimate fear, because depending on the kind of bee they will sting you for nothing. Like hornets, wasps, and yellow jackets, fuck them. Even though im not allergic to stings anymore (dont even hurt now)

Some people are just born with fears that may seem silly to others. I for one am scared of (and will avoid) balloons. I don't know why, it's just part of who you are. Same with fetishes.

The problem is that Maury, and talkshow hosts like him, tend to be assholes who just want to parade people around to get views, instead of helping them overcome their fears.
