I like just cause, but i think they are selling it to hard. "Something that no other game can do" etc. Well, ill keep an eye on this.
Considering this is coming out a month after fallout 4 and three after TPP, trying to sell it as a groundbreaking revolution for open world gaming seems like a bit of a delusional move.
Sure it's not the only open world game coming out around that time, but it's the only one of them doing this
Still kind of disappointing that not every building is destructible, when Mercenaries 2, a underfunded, rushed game managed to do it.
That video was awful, but I'm still gonna get this game, Just Cause 2 was one of my all time favourites.

Meh. Honestly Just Cause 1 was great. Just Cause 2 got boring in an hour. This looks like it wont keep me hooked five minutes. I mean blowing up a fuel tank was fun the first time, afterwards it gets boring. The trailer was just a series of explosions and I got tired of it so much I had to force myself to watch more. It's like an action movie where each scene is almost the same, think anything post 2012 starring Jason Statham as main role. Good for a few minutes, but you already know everything that's gonna be ahead so there is not much point in waiting further. And it's the same storyline as the two previous games. Just Cause 2 storyline was so bad that you couldn't even ignore it and wreck shit, it was painfully bad. This one is bound to be even worse. They could come up with something new, maybe make two factions and have player take a side. Looks like a DLC for Just Cause 2. New weapons, upgraded gear, new vehicles, new map. Disappointed.
Looks much more interesting than all the copy-pasted open worlds Ubisoft showed off. And that destruction, I'm super hyped.
Wingsuit has already sold it for me, I could not get enough of the wingsuit from Far Cry.

Just Cause is supposed to be like the cheesy action movies, which is why there are explosions everywhere. I'm hyped. This is the best year for gaming in a long, long time.
You had me at unlimited C4
I was expecting them to put a multiplayer mode as a major selling point. That Just Cause 2 MP mod was a big deal for a while.
Just Cause 2 was one of the few games where i really wanted to complete the game at 100% Just because it meant i had a purpose to blow shit up and do crazy stunts.
Is he driving a frigate? If so I'm fucking sold
Still kind of disappointing that not every building is destructible, when Mercenaries 2, a underfunded, rushed game managed to do it.
Looked at some gameplay from that game, WoW you weren't kidding why the fuck don't games have that in 2015? ffs yep I think I'm going as far as calling JC3 shit.

The current method consists of creating multiple models for an object in varying states of destruction. Not only that, but the parts that broke off have to be modeled. All of that takes a tremendous amount of time, effort, and money.
Looks like the progression is going add more incentive for exploration this time.
I played Just Cause 2 about 8 hours, and I watched probably every funny moments compilation on youtube before I got the game twice. I found it was a reasonably fun game to drive vehicles in, have military pursuits in, blow things up all over the map and travel by parachute and grapple regardless. I never even got around to installing the infinite unbreakable grapple trainer. That said, after a while it did get boring, because you are doing the same thing over and over with some pretty mediocre gunplay if you're not finding anything funny or unique.

It was just, do x amount of damage to building, play smoke effect at bottom of building and sink building into ground.

JC3 still has a long way to go so who knows I shouldn't judge it this early. I'm just saying that JC2 got boring after you finished the story which was quite short. And this seems to be the same thing only with prettier graphics.
Fallout 4 Star Wars: Battlefront No Mans Sky Just Cause 3 If you listen carefully you can hear the cries of wallets being raped
This looks so much fun. I'd buy it.
I always find it silly how small-ass countries in Just Cause can afford such infrastructure and a huge, modern army

Objects are all smaller objects, nothing is a large object that can be used to break other objects. I'm honestly not worried about not being able to blow up every home in the game, and there's even good reason as to why you wouldn't do that. JC2 was only as boring as your imagination, and as long as it's tools lasted. It's tools broke down pretty quickly because one static rope was kind of boring and shit. I think, for me personally, this will be a game I dump shit tons of hours into because I love the way it looks and the way it plays and JC2 was a personal 10/10 game. [editline]16th June 2015[/editline] and I thought JC1 was one of the worst game I've ever played cause it was so janky.
I was expecting them to put a multiplayer mode as a major selling point. That Just Cause 2 MP mod was a big deal for a while.
I think they said they wanted to focus on the single player experience or some shit.
i'd have preferred a less cut-and-paste antagonist
