One of the comments reminded me of the "Purchase Brothers" which I'm sure made that one other good HL2 short film that promised more. What ever happened to that? I remember it was on a Steam news at one time.

I think the Eli was full CG, but they did a pretty decent job with the animation and voice over so I'm not complaining.

All in all very cool, I'm trying to figure out how they executed the underside bridge walking

It's close, but not quite right. It'd still probably be fine for a low budget film if they lost the can that's on the right, but usually they don't.

The Combine don't use anything like this. The Civil Protection has a pretty similar mask though.

This is a little fan made video how the Xen Crystal was used in the gravity gun, which was a long time before Gordon. The Xen Crystal was probably stolen from the Combine and that would make them pretty mad.

Definitely one of the better Half-Life films I've seen. I wish we'd get more films that aren't about the rebels fighting Combine, though - that's what 90% of them seem to be about.

No she doesn't, just that he's better at using it than she is. She's used it herself to clear mine-fields and for heavy lifting, and you even see her using it in Ep2.

In HL2 Alex says the Combine are slow to wake but hard to stop, so I think they probably have prior experience with aggravating them. This could have been one of those times.
