The exact same happened with furries.
And there we go.
Well actually it took 4 pages before someone decided to roll it out so I guess its getting better.
How is it forced down anyones throat anymore, maybe in the first couple months of the fandom sure, but its been like 2 years it just doesn't happen anymore.
I usually don't care if someone is a brony but;
why is this even considered in the slightest a "movement".
It's a show that most of the general population in the fandom masturbate to ponies. Why do they feel the need to announce it everywhere, more importantly, in real life?
i'm mobon1 and this is my brony story
1 day i didn't have no friends so i was like omg what's this pony shit about so i popped it up on my televisin and i was like shit yo that's dope now i can make friends
that is my brony documentary story buy dvd now it's worth it everyone cares about me and other people who follow a tv show obsessively
I wish more fandoms were like the quiet fandom of Warehouse 13, where we enjoy the show and characters and not make it a complete part of our lives
I still don't understand why Bronies even exist. I mean the classification.
I like TF2, I'm not a Forter or some shit, I like to watch Bugs Bunny, I don't have a name associated with my liking of that, why does liking MLP make you a Brony? Who decided that it needs a classification? The only 2 other things I can think of that's like that is being a trekkie, but it's really just used jokingly and only applies to people who's lives consist entirely of watching Star Trek, and 'Gamer', which is only in existence because saying "likes to play video games" takes too long and at this point has an excessive amount of people who can be considered so.
I really just don't get it. Also: Brony is a really eugh sounding word, and if they where hell bent on giving their fandom a name it should have been something that doesn't sound disgusting.
Its... its... [del]AMAZING[/del] a tv show... Its not anything more. Its not a movement, a revolution, a religion, nothing. Its a show. About ponies. just stop.
Perhaps, but it's lasted longer and had a greater effect than Occupy Wall Street.

If Reddit is any indication, ~14% of them do.

I'm pretty sure it grew out of a joke. Bro-puns have been around forever, and honestly it is easier to say "I'm a brony" than "I'm a fan of My Little Pony"
[editline]12:14[/editline]
or if you hate bronies, it's obviously because they have issues and need to label themselves to feel part of something or whatever dumb pseudointellectual bullshit that allows you to feel superior
oh look, a movie about schizophrenic faggots

"I failed.."
you can almost see the disappointment
ok watched the video now. now i want to watch Totally Spies :|
Why is it that whenever I ask why they try to relate to people those them, I always get the reply "Well it's just a minority"
I've had to ask a metric fuckton
It's a pretty big minority
Whilst it is good being a fan of something, like I'm a fan of adult swim I love just about all the cartoons on it, the fact that the shows original intention was preschoolers and now has attracted men that are like 30 years old is scary
maybe its just me but I don't see why they can't be a fan of more grown up cartoons?
[editline]25th January 2013[/editline]
But they're happy, that is all that matters, I don't care if they love the show I just care if they start bringing it into my face, its alright to be in a fandom of any sort just don't bring it into other peoples faces
you guys should visit tumblr some time
dr who, sherlock holmes and supernatural fans seem to be the ones interjecting stuff into irrelevant posts nowadays
and the shit I've seen on the current transformers prime series is just nightmare fuel
my dashboard is full of that and bitstrips, adult swim, okcupid, cute dogs and porn
"If you're gonna be a brony in the Appalachian mountains, you're gonna have a problem. "
Lol ain't that the truth. I know like 4 dudes at my school who are fat, disgusting neck beards who honestly look like they haven't showered in weeks. They constantly get shit for telling everyone they know including myself to watch the show. It's amazing how hard they try
Next thing we'll see bronies living on ranches and standing on all 4s, eating hay and apples.

Naked.
actually i think bronies are the new furry. furry hate has gone way down since the mlp fandom gained popularity,.
Mostly because people have become desensitized about that over the time.
The only problem I have with the fandom is the people who go a little bit too far with it.
Edit:
That said, I watch a few episodes now and again.

dude do you know how a vocal minority works
you're one person and have asked a fuckton
maybe there's a number of individuals who cause a fuckton of questions

friendly reminder that bannable offenses are still bannable on the forum
wow who would have guessed
actually i think bronies are the new furry. furry hate has gone way down since the mlp fandom gained popularity,.
Because most of the furry ones who like attention joined the MLP fandom.
Like it's the person who makes the entire group look bad.
This applies with every single group known to existence.
Gays, Blacks, Jews, Furries, Homestuck Fans, Call of Duty fans, Feminists. Name any group and there would always be that one group of people who fucks up the entire group they're associated with.
I've met some furries, they're really good people. The ones who try to make their fursona sexual ruins it for the entire group.
I've met some bronies, they are really good people. The ones who can not stop talking about it ruin it for everyone. They get it worse because they try making memes, porn, terms like "everypony" ect ect.
For the love of god, if you're a furry or a brony, don't fucking say that you jack off to horses, purchase animal dildos, talk about your sexual desires regarding your favorite fursona/character. You just make the regular people look bad. And you're more of a cunt than the people telling you to shut up.
The sad part is they got Q from TNG to be in it. :/
John de Lancie was a director for the documentary. He enjoyed the show so much that he asked if his character could be added back in. He got defeated as a villain, but now he's become a good guy. Or well, more of a chaotic good kind of character.
Don't let the creepy fanbase scare you away from what is actually a pretty cool cartoon show.
Gays, Blacks, Jews, Furries, Homestuck Fans, Call of Duty fans, Feminists.
I wonder what a black, gay, Jewish, transexual feminist who is also a furry and huge Homestuck/Call of Duty fan would be like. :v:

i imagine it would be like a masochist sticking his dick into a blender for all eternity
so he'd be happy?
so he'd be happy?
it would be a kind of sick satisfaction i imagine
This documentary looks well made opposing to the other ones and show both sides of the spectrum which is kind of cool. I am looking forward to it.

That doesn't mean it has any relevance.
