I loved this game so fucking much, I bought it twice because i broke it the first time.
I used to think this was what real skating was like until I tried it. I died.
Wtf I don't remember it looking that bad, it had pretty good graphics back in the day...
My exact thoughts. I could've sworn it used to look better than it did.
American Wasteland and Underground series was my favorite Tony Hawk game. Used to play like crazy over at friends house. Stopped at Project 8 because of the shitty split screen mode (like 4 game modes), no level editor and certain tricks didn't work anymore whereas American Wasteland had shit load of game modes, great level editor and all the good stuff.
The unrealism.. it BURNS :suicide:
Made this after seeing this thread:

I don't have a capture card or the PC version so i had to use what was available on the PS2 disc.
Eric Sparrow is an asshole.

I nostalgia'd so hard.
I wish I could still play THPS like I used to.
I started playing Skate 2 and now I can't play it for shit. :frown:
I remember being scared as hell of that monster thing in the start up movies.
it's all about the darkslides
Holy shit, the biggest combo I ever got in a THPS game was like 5 million.
And THIS was his first run, amazing.

This game also was awesome.
Haha, I still have this, I think I'm going to install it.

No-Hand Supermans were the bomb.
Thats what made this game good. Not ultra realistic crap like now a days, it had more of an arcade feel.
That and the overall insanity of the series. It's amazing how many crazy easter eggs they managed to put in those games. Especially THPS3, that game was just completely out there.
The last good Tony Hawk game.
This game was fantastic, my favorite skating game still up to today.
I think my max combo was only ~20 million points :(

I used to play the shit out of this game online, even made a maze map with difficult jumps and stuff. Then I found someone else hosting a server with my map too
Most of my childhood games consisted of THPS 2, 3, 4 and THUG 2. American Wasteland was shit.
Ah, nostalgia.
The last good Tony Hawk game.
Nah, THUG 2 was the last good one.
I still have THUG 2 on my PSP. :v:
I loved all of the Tony Hawks games but THAW was the last one that had this feel of utter chaos and fun. Now they're generic and boring.

Bleh. I bought this game for like 5 bucks, saw the shit graphics and crap controls and never played it again.
I expected something like Tony Hawks. Oh well.

Agreed. Although I liked Underground 2 more than American Wasteland, I don't know. The maps were better for multiplayer.
Project 8 ported to Xbox blew.

Anybody remember this mission? Music scared the shit out of me.

Oh my god this song.
I'd always win the tournaments because when the time ran out I'd pull an infinite manual and just sit there for 30 minutes getting a point every 3 seconds, it was so fulfilling in the end though.
