Nah, I think it looks great and don't really understand people's complaints.
I think the video is off an old build because now that it's out the Zerg look fine in the actual game so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
Glad the audio was remastered too, the music is much crisper, the whole thing doesn't even feel like a remaster in a traditional sense so good on the developers.

God I've forgotten how fucking ugly Stukov looks in the opening cinematic, widescreen has not helped change this opinion.

I just realized that Zerglings have little tiny adorable hands. Clawed hands but hands none the less. My whole childhood was a lie!
That and the intro cinematic where the guy says "We're hitting pay dirt this time for sure!" I thought he was saying "We're getting taters this time for sure!" lol.

Speaking of cinematics, I decided to look them up on YouTube to see if they made any significant changes.
Instead, I found that they typo'd Arcturus' title:

"Emporer Arcturus Mengsk"

They used the widescreen variations from an exclusive DVD that was previously no longer available.
Good enough for me. It was either that or fuck it up.
are they updating the number of units you can control? i always thought it was so little

Actually, just an option to make the gameplay feel a little more "modern" would be fantastic. Being able to select multiple buildings at once, higher unit cap, etc.. Basically making it control a little more like SC2 so more modern players don't get too put off if they're just trying the campaign.

tl;dr this isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it is integral to brood war's competitive scene.
[editline]16th August 2017[/editline]
It's part of what makes Brood War an interesting competitive game. If that's not your cup of tea then that's fine, but Starcraft 2 already exists so it would kind of be pointless to make that change in Brood War.
