what does that even mean? You seem to get off on hating Halo... and the best part is is that your username is SpartanXC9 lmao
Sorry let me clarify, a lot of the stuff in Halo 4 looks more like plastic than metal especially Master Chief's new suite.
One thing I've noticed with the recent Halo games it the awkwardness of the weapons. I'm not sure, it's either that the weapon is too high, or it's too rigid. It just feels fixed, and not free to move around with the camera movement.
Just my opinion, but that's the main reason I didn't enjoy Reach as much as some of the older Halo games and Halo 3. Although the video and gameplay looks neat.
nah, looks pretty similar to me

just more military in colour
Well first off the model is completely different but I'm not talking about that. The texture to me just gives this plastic like look and the one you posted looks more metallic in comparison.
It's made worse by the fact that Halo used to have my favorite game soundtrack.
[editline]20th September 2012[/editline]
The singing monks and fantastic orchestral pieces. Oh well.
Well, I wouldn't worry about it. The kind of music used in the trailer won't be in the game. You can still expect Halo style music.

Plastic doesn't look like that, plastic is shiny and smooth. If anything it's looking less like "plastic".
This is looking nicer and nicer.
I'll admit I was apprehensive when I first heard that Halo 4 was being made. I had honestly figured they had put chief to sleep, both figuratively and literally. I mean they had some serious story bookends going on there.
Glad to see that it looks like they're putting a lot of effort into the design of this one.
Oh god I love that new sound for the gravity hammer. It's just this brilliantly solid WHACK noise.
I cannot wait to use that weapon.
Wow, I have to say it looks impressive. Now that I look at Halo as a casual game I kind of really want to play it. I couldn't stand Halo3 since it felt so bogged down by all the new features from Halo2 and haven't played any since.
So Facepunch likes Halo now? When did this happen?
I'm not seeing what makes this special, looks like the same thing as before. Though I stopped playing after halo 2 (except at friends' houses) so I honestly don't know

Facepunch is not a hive mind. There are some people on FP that hate this series and others that love it.
So Facepunch likes Halo now? When did this happen?
Facepunch always had Halo fans, and an active Halo thread.
The melee bash looks brutal as fuck, especially the sword holy shit
doesn't look so different from halo 3
doesn't look so different from halo 3
The atmosphere seems a lot different from Halo 3, just by viewing the video, as well as the sounds/graphics/gameplay.
Although, I haven't played it yet, so I can't confirm this.
doesn't look so different from halo 3
Then you really don't know much about it.
I think it was a bad decision to release this for the 360. I mean, yeah it looks great and a new Halo game is always awesome. But this would have been a much bigger deal if they made it one of the launch titles for the new Xbox.
They are going to release halo 5 along with the new xbox 6-9 months after halo 4.
With halo 5 completely phasing halo 4 out and dropping its multiplayer along with halo 3 and halo reach.
[sp]Worst possible thing that can happen[/sp]

Worst possible things that will never happen. The development cycle of a Halo game is 3 or more years, and Frank has confirmed 343 will stick to that.

What in the living fuck are you even talking about?
ugh 343/bungie always makes me rethink my console decision
still this game looks damn good
The only thing I dont like about the halo games are how the crosshair is never in the fucking middle, its down a little, it pisses me off SO much

The height is even with the barrel of the weapons.

He's trying to say that Halo 5 will be a next gen launch title and the new Xbox will be out 6-9 months after the release of Halo 4. Because they can make Halo 5 in 6-9 months, despite it being a next gen game of Microsoft's flagship franchise and the development length of a Halo game being 3 - 3.5 years.

It used to tick me off, but after playing since Halo 1, I've gotten used to it.
game looks damn fun and i can't wait but i can't get over the direction with they went with sound.
the sound in the game from what i've heard so far is shit
Almost every sound in Halo 4 was professional recorded or created in house, the audio budget was said to be over 1 million dollars. All times times I played Halo 4's MP either in a playtest session, or at E3 or PAX the sound design was beyond top notch.

He was joking about the worst possible thing that could happen with Halo 5.

Is this through your shitty PC speakers, or in a big living room with 5.1 surround, speakers that go up to your waist, and a huge meaty subwoofer?
This was only meant to be heard one way. Apple earbuds/ cheap headphones/ speakers the size of your fist won't do it. The game's sound texture relies heavily on bass, if you can't meet it half way of course it won't sound good.
really? I think it sounds great. Remember in Halo 2, the SMG? That gun sounded retardedly bad
One alone sounds bad. Two sounds fucking dangerous.
doesn't look so different from halo 3
That's because it's Halo 4.

My Astro gaming headsets would like to have a word with you. Actually, gaming or audiophile headset would like to have a word with you.
When I say headset, I mean casual headphones. Of course there's the exception of incredible headsets, though they don't have the necessary torso rocking sub because that's physically impossible.
Hell, I have a pair of Sony MDR-V6s from 1989 and the released stuff sounds good in that. Not as good as in the livingroom, but pretty damn good. You want me to edit the original statement? Fine, here we go.
Besides, my main point was that 'come-with-the-kit' speakers won't do the game justice in any sense of the word. Halo 4's design ethic is way different than Battlefield's, that compresses everything to a manageable range of decibels that sound good in most speakers. It's design goal is completely different. It's not supposed to sound like the newsreels, it's supposed to sound like a movie. It's a game with range. Quite a fat ass range.
Also, DAT FUCKING BEAM RIFLE.

lol you got Astros. they are over priced as fuck just to have the name astro on them. my wired Trittons have Dolby surround sound 5.1 and were a 100 bucks. they lasted 2 years and are still working fine. their customer service will replace anything, even if it out of warranty. I heard Astros are so flimsy that they break constantly.

Over priced you say? I payed 200 bucs for an audio solution that plugs into any and all devices I use, I can split the audio between my PC and Xbox at the same time, Dolby Digital 5.1 and 7.1 SS. And has lasted me 5 years without any issue. You heard Astros are flimsy and break constantly? that was never the case in the 3 Astro products I own. Next time do research before you go be "what you hear." There was never an item I purchased for Astro for myself or friends that was flimsy and breaks constantly. What you call over priced, I call saved me alot of money in the long run, and a damn good series of headsets. I use the A30's for travel, the A40's for computer, and the a50's in the living room. I invest in their products because they are damn good for gaming, and I find them more comfortable than the Tritton 720+ and the Earforce series headsets, which I do own.
